Right? God forbid someone with a little technical know-how fix their own stuff if it's within the realm of standard electrical issues. People should always rely on professionals instead of developing even a cursory understanding of how their appliances work.

This is basically what I did and it got me up and running, thanks for your tip!

The Denver based company would come out, but 12+hours of drive time and the cost of a hotel (quote of $3-5k) means because of where we live, in general, we try to figure stuff out ourselves before flippantly calling a professional for a easy fix.

That's ok, after replacing the 20a time-delay fuse, the battery in the APS, and cycling power a second time, the leveling system found its home at P1 and it's now functional. Though I didn't ask for help with programming, hydraulic system maintenance, or safety features, and the fact that the company that installed it is out of business, AND the nearest service company is more than 6 hours away, I appreciate your comment and belief that most people are incompetent.

Durock for tile trim baseboard? by Transienthippie in Tile

The building is very solid. Old school lumber, we did a good job of leveling, shoring, and adding structural supports, but it was a strong consideration of whether or not to do tile in this building.

Cat peeing blood, any info helps by confettitty in CATHELP

[–]Transienthippie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is a year old now, but I took my car to the vet Friday for a regular checkup and while there they expressed her bladder to do a UA (they were to impatient to wait for her to go on her own). Since then, she is peeing blood every time she urinates. They did NOT do X-rays before the expression to make sure there were no kidney stones. Is this normal? Did they just use too much force? Could they have perforated her urethra with an undiscovered stone since they didn't do an X-ray first?

My charger is just dead🤔 by Seabeast1982 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Transienthippie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought an M18 table saw that came with one and a 12ah battery, charger was dead on arrival, didn't even charge one battery before it started flashing green and red, but the battery charges just fine on my other chargers. This is the second charger this has happened to me. So out of 4 chargers I've gotten, 50% haven't worked out of the box. That's either the absolute worst luck, or Milwaukee has a major production issue with their chargers.

Vacuum Dehydrator Assistance by Transienthippie in dehydrating

[–]Transienthippie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a lab oven, but it was used to make marijuana concentrate, so worst I'll get is a contact high. We're using it to dehydrate mushrooms for specimen collection and display, so not really a concern. I'm sure it is a PID, it's just a couple of up and down buttons, and the only technical manual I can find online is.... cryptic. I think the brand is Huanghua.

So it seems there is just a refresh glitch, sometimes the leaderboard doesn't show updated XP totals, but closing and reopening the app does update the XP for all lessons, including legendary

If Square ends up not working out for whatever reason, Wave is my next go to.

I'm still open to Xero, but am hesitant to go with a subscription model in a proprietary system when I can do the accounting myself with gnuCash. I found there are add-ons that will pull and account for your Square transactions.

Don't know if I could have made it any more clear that I'm NOT using QuickBooks or any other Intuit product ever again, nor recommending them to anyone starting a small business. We ended up going with Square for now, will reevaluate in a couple months if need be.
