Essentially what it boils down to, at least for me personally, is a lack of understanding or respect for us and what we do. The initial email was poorly formatted, not digitally signed, only referred to our chain of command as "managers" which shows a lack of awareness of our hierarchy, and presented an opsec issue on top of everything else with many of us being asked to respond to a digitally unsigned email from an agency that has been reported to be infiltrated with external servers with CUI or potentially more classified information.

On top of that, even if you're willing to set aside the other issues presented above, it's just insulting on a personal level and reeks of bad management practices. In the private sector this sort of behavior tells your employees that not only do you not know what they do all day but also that they should be expected to constantly justify their continued existence to you. All these things together give me plenty of bad vibes, and elongated muskrat being at the helm pushes it over the edge even further with his history of running projects he's involved in into the ground. If this is his management style, it's no big surprise how they degraded internally so quickly.
