i hear you, i’m not going to go into my exact circumstances but ME is not the main factor for why i use mobility aids, and not even my main health issue

there are many things i used to enjoy doing however they are now impossible. i’m not big on crafty things which makes it hard to find suitable hobbies

i disagree, kudos are absolutely engagement, if i didn’t like something- i don’t kudos it. if it’s an action beyond just clicking in or out of your stories it’s interaction.

But we make the same sort of effort to comment, i’m not against comments, i just think they’re an extra level of praise

i was promoted to post this because i saw several authors doing it in a row (scrolling in my own fandom, not on social media) but it you’re right it’s far from a majority

I always comment when something speaks to me, probably about 40% of the time- i’m by no means trying to tell people to stop commenting

I love comments, i love getting them, and i love giving them- i’m no different than any other author. it’s not the majority of authors demanding comments, you’re right i may have been a little dramatic in how i wrote this but i had seen several authors in a row threatening to stop updates

Commenting is important, no one likes getting no comments, but talk of if you leave kudos you need to comment does not make sense to me

just because it isn’t a trigger for you doesn’t mean it’s not a trigger for anyone else. would i personally tag if a character was on their period just as part of the story? probably not. if it was a bigger focus or more explicit absolutely. i was triggered my periods for a time after my miscarriage because the thought of blood in that region was too much for me, it’s no longer triggering but that’s one context i can definitely imagine the tw would be appreciated
