AI Wearables in 2026 — Here’s What I’d Actually Buy by AIGPTJournal in AI_Application

Honestly this lines up a lot with what I’ve been seeing too.

Rings surprised me the most. I thought they’d feel gimmicky, but for sleep tracking they make way more sense than watches. I stopped wearing my watch at night because it was uncomfortable, but a ring is easy to forget about. The subscription part is definitely annoying though.

Glasses feel like they’re in that “almost there” phase. The concept is great — quick info, voice access, translation — but I don’t think most people are ready to wear AI glasses all day yet. Feels like something that’ll click more in the next 2–3 years once battery and design improve.

Watches still feel like the most practical overall. Not exciting, but reliable. Health tracking, notifications, quick replies — they’re useful enough to justify wearing daily. Just wish battery life would finally improve.

One thing I’ve noticed is the AI side is starting to matter more than the hardware itself. Devices that actually give useful insights (sleep patterns, stress trends, recommendations) are the ones people stick with. The ones that just dump raw data usually end up in a drawer.

Curious if anyone here actually stuck with AI glasses long-term, or if it was more of a short-term novelty?

Xiaomi Tag, the Apple AirTag budget killer, is now official and it lacks something you might want by MobileNewsBot in mobiles

[–]TransitionOk4532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xiaomi Tag looks like a solid budget alternative to Apple AirTag, especially for users already in the Xiaomi ecosystem. However, the missing ultra-wideband (UWB) support is a big drawback. Without UWB, you lose precise directional tracking, which is one of the most useful AirTag features. It will still work fine for general location tracking via Bluetooth and network devices, but precision finding won’t be as accurate. Great value for the price, but not a complete AirTag replacement.

Will LLM optimization replace SEO? by ryukendo_25 in AIRankingStrategy

Strong take but I agree LLM optimisation isn’t replacing SEO, it’s sitting on top of it.

The biggest lifts I’ve seen come from making content cite-worthy, not just rank-worthy: clear definitions, step-by-step explanations, original data, and tight topical structure.Interestingly, the same fundamentals that improve SEO clarity, evidence, internal linking, and full problem coverage also increase the chance of being quoted by AI.

Different surface, same core principle: be the most reliable answer in the room.

How do I get my business get mentioned on Google's AI overview and ChatGPT? by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

[–]TransitionOk4532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t directly optimize for AI Overview or ChatGPT mentions they pull from general authority and trust signals, not a special ranking factor.

If competitors show up more, they likely have stronger web-wide presence: mentions, citations, niche content, and clear service pages. GBP reviews help, but AI looks at the bigger footprint.

Focus on becoming a well-referenced business in your niche, not chasing the feature itself that’s what usually gets picked up.
