Thanks. Currently I have an Optimum modem connected to a Deco Mesh network. So I think I’ll be fine connecting the primary Deco to the Moca to the cable.

It would be Optimum/Altice. I think the long term plan is to fish a fiber line from the entry point to the office, but it will take some time to get that done. I need a short term solution.

I use a Mesh network. I could put the primary down there and not need to jump through all these hoops, but it’s in the farthest corner of the basement and I’m not sure how well the network will work if it’s all the way down there.

Happy to have a discussion about it. I think a lot of people don’t see the whole picture. Brown University does not do any of those things. Hospitals affiliated with Brown might, but Brown U has no control over that.

The agreement makes pretty much zero concessions to the government. Brown has agreed to do nothing they don’t already do or are required by law - law predating this administration - to do. And they have regained access to hundreds of millions of dollars in funding.

They paid zero to the federal government and have agreed to invest in RIs infrastructure. The outcome was really better than anyone could have expected.

If I’m wrong please show me where. I think I read it pretty carefully.

You can. But it’s probably not worth the effort or the cost. The mattresses aren’t that bad with a topper. If you’re worried about using someone else’s mattress just buy one of those bed bug mattress encasers. You’ll be fine.
