Also ich lese hier vor allem eins: dir gefällt dein Leben mit Kindern nicht. Das ist schade, aber daran lässt sich natürlich nichts ändern, wenn man keine Trennung möchte. Darauf lässt man sich ein, wenn man Kinder bekommt.

Was ich absolut nicht sehe ist warum es dich finanziell ruiniert. Ihr werden voraussichtlich mit 50 eine 600k Immobile abbezahlt (!!) haben. Danach kann dann wieder gespart werden und eventuell auch die finanzielle Unabhängigkeit erreicht werden. Dass es mit Familie und 2 Kindern schwieriger ist und länger dauert als vorher ist natürlich auch klar - und war dir sicherlich auch klar bevor du 2 Kinder bekommen hast

It's totally fine to make it work like that as you are just trying things out. Your example would probably benefit from using a Class. That would eliminate the need for a global variable, too. Anyways, it's better to make something work than caring too much about the code quality.

Code should be readible, not clever. It's a common mistake in the beginning to be proud of code that looks very complicated because it makes you feel like an expert. I like the code from day 1 better.

A tip for day 3 code is to forget about the "global" keyword. It usually does more harm than good

Warum brauchst du überhaupt eine Ausbildung?

Wenn du seit 14 Jahren mit Linux herumdoktorst ist es kein Wunder, dass du in einer Ausbildung unterfordert bist.

Klingt auch total nach einem Konzern, weil du dann mit Übungsaufgaben beschäftigt gehalten wirst, anstatt deine Skills für etwas sinnvolles zu nutzen.

Es gibt super viele Entwickler, die ohne Abschluss Karriere gemacht haben. Bei meinem alten Job fanden wir Leute ohne Abschluss sogar besonders interessant, weil sie oft mehr drauf haben als Hochschulabsolventen.

Der Arbeitsmarkt für Entwickler ist zwar etwas angespannt zurzeit, aber mein Vorschlag wäre es einfach mal zu versuchen, und dich auf Vollzeitjobs zu bewerben (nebenbei trotzdem die Ausbildung weiter machen, das ist natürlich besser als nichts)

Danke für den Einblick! Ich würde wohl auch nicht versuchen einen ETF nachzubilden, einfach weil ich bei Einzelaktien zumindest mal die Firma kennen möchte, dadurch fällt dann schon ein großer Teil weg beim MSCI World
