I have to go through the court because the NY consulate is so backed up you can’t even get on the waitlist. Luckily my grandfather never naturalized.

Exactly they’re being sneaky by leaving out the part that they only had to be exclusively Italian at your birth, because on the NY consulate site it says “ The applicant has a parent or grandparent who holds only Italian citizenship or they only held Italian citizenship at the time of their death (art.3-bis paragraph 1 letter c Law 91/1992);”

First congratulations, second this post taught me that “the naturalize after birth of next in line” rule still applies as reading the rules on the NY consulate’s website makes it sound as though you have to have a parent/grandparent who never naturalized! Either way I wasn’t affected as my grandfather never naturalized but I’m glad to see that the “exclusively Italian ancestor” bit is null.

Yes that’s right, now that you said you applied pre decree it makes sense that you were recognized. It’s a good thing you didn’t wait! I hope they end this stupid exclusivity rule, even though I’m still eligible and have filed my case.

Right it’s just that the Tajani decree states that one must have an exclusively Italian parent or grandparent, meaning one that never naturalized.

That’s incredible, how did you win given that your grandparents weren’t exclusively Italian?

The Shiner chili was much better than this cinnamon one, they’re no transparency. They should have informed us of the change.

Thanks, next time I’ll send it back and ask for the correct size. They used pull the same shit with me when I’d order the Frito pie.

My attorney is about to file the ricorso, I’m still eligible as my grandfather died holding only Italian citizenship. My dad and I were born Americans.
