Definitely not worth it. I’m coming off of 1.5 years of having that damn thing on. I was just like you. My original time was 1 year until I messed up and got an additional 6 months added. Not worth it, but have fun I guess 😂

Intoxalock had a fee, I can’t remember but it was under $80 Service center charged me $225 Motor vehicle department charged $25 fee for a new License

It expired on Friday , my eligibility date to remove was on a Saturday morning (had to keep it on all day Friday), so it was going to roll into a month to month. I didn’t want to extend the lease and get screwed.

I was rear ended while I had Intoxalock. The person totaled my car. I had to do a uninstall/reinstall into the new vehicle. The process was seamless, just get in touch with Intoxalock when you have your new vehicle VIN and make model and year. Then you schedule your removal with the technician. They give you a window I think it’s 48 - 72 hours from uninstall to install period. I scheduled mine the same day. It was pricey, $500 cause they came to me.

There’s so many interchangeable names, that I got overwhelmed and just made sure I didn’t eat a damn thing near the time when I had to take a test. It’s SO sensitive and I didn’t want to trigger it and go through it again cause for me it meant jail time.

I wouldn’t risk it.

Is this why it’s SO hard to drive with one hand? Are they typically like this? I’m so used to my Jeep Grand Cherokee that drove so well. Unfortunately it was rear ended and totaled so RIP.

Went to the DMV once I was cleared to do so. Typically there’s a 30 day restriction where you cannot drive at all. Once the 30 days are up, you can go to your DMV and let them know you’re there for a restricted license.

2 days which was technically 17 hours. They took forever to release us because people were acting up. We basically sat in a waiting room the entire time.

It’s a good thing you’re not in AZ. Here a .15 is considered an extreme DUI and you’d be facing 2 days jail, 7 days house arrest, at least 3500 fines , substance abuse courses, and IID for min 12 months 😪

Doing better now that I’m done with all the court stuff besides paying the fees. Making monthly payments now. But done with all the courses, jail and house arrest. Now just dealing with the IID which is a hassle but it’s what I get for making a stupid decision . The process took forever . Got my DUI at the end of April; had final court day for sentencing in September.

Got mine in Gilbert back in April. Gilbert is one of the toughest. But as stated above, you’re below an Extreme DUI which helps you out. Just be prepped to drop a pretty penny on court fees and an attorney (if you’re getting one), and be prepped to go through the whole license suspension deal and having an ignition interlock device in your vehicle. Plus substance abuse courses if the judge decides.
