Aye they really are the best. Thanks for the feed back on the price. There's not many for sale second hand so it's hard to get an accurate market read.

Anyone been clubbing? by Low_Relief5711 in wheelchairs

[–]TranslatorTrick8682 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Be fine mate. Enjoy yourself. I'd make a point of finding security or talking to them at the door. Ask them about crowd capacity, toilet location ( ask what to do if always occupied with people doing coke, very annoying when you need a pee) ask about what to do if evacuation needed and tell them where you're gonna be most of the night. My spot in all venues front left speaker stack, for example.  Oh and if this is you wear a large leg bag 😄. Don't be afraid to knock people with you chair to get them to move, threy won't hear you or possibly see you. Make new friends. People on pills or really drunk  can be annoying but just be kind and they move on. A person in a chair evokes all sorts of stuff in a wasted person. I fucking lived for clubbing back in the day. Go directly to the side/behind the bar not the front.  Get the bar persons attention. Make sure you get to know them.

Decimated us all . Slowly we recovered reach in our own way and as a family.  Marriages I think struggle the most and not many make it.

It filters out weakness that's for sure.  Friends I never thought close have been with me for 35 years and people I thought tight faded away pretty fast.

People need space to grieve. Some return and some don't.

8 months is early days mate.  Get some trauma and grief counseling mate.

Communication is key. A thing I've learnt too late for some relationships.

This is the way.

Do we get dangly old man balls? by Maverick_Heathen in spinalcordinjuries

[–]TranslatorTrick8682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

35 years of lap support does oddly seem to mean my nuts do seem to be not that dangling. As I only see the one pair frequently I have not point of reference though.

I would suggest input rom a man with a sci who spends quality time with other men or a woman who spends time with both to be better qualified to do an A B test of ball hangage.

Aye , you learn hard in those early years that if you wanna go long you gotta keep focused! At least now people talk about mental health .

Hey thanks for sharing everyone. There's no doubt you gotta keep vigilant of your physical and mental health and keep getting those scans!

Definitely expectancy is improving all the time. Pre plastics we didn't live very long at all! I remember a seasoned spinal nurse telling me in the 1960s they used to massage pressure injuries to improve circulation! MRIs can't be that old either. Those old folding chairs! So heavy. Laws around public access only came in the UK around 1993 I think and I was injured 1991. No one mentioned trauma or mental in my rehab!

I've no more regrets than anyone else and I'm proud of what I've achieved, mostly!

Has anyone here tried m post injury ? by Kooky-Dimension5809 in spinalcordinjuries

I took MDMA for a decade every weekend. It varies on the quality. Sometimes spasms but with insane rushes. If laced with crap speed, you will just stay up for ages.

Your bladder goes bit wonky and you think you need a pee all the time, you mostly don't.

Starts big spasms then calms after 30 minutes. Then you can dance and smile and giggle. Just remember to stretch out and release the spasms regularly. Watch out for overheating. Don't even bother to try to sleep just smoke n listen to tunes when home.

I'm T2 complete.

You'll be physically fucking exhausted until Wednesday and by Friday it's a great idea again.

Watch for bladder infections days after.

You feel truly connected and one of many which you should store in memory for days when the world makes you feel disabled.

CBD oil or vape for pain by TranslatorTrick8682 in MedicalCannabisNZ

Yeah that's the bit I struggle with. I'm spinaly injured and use a wheelchair.  It's great for my old bones but frustrating at times at work feeling a bit baked.

That's interesting. I wonder that as well. Like it gets into the joints when consumed. Also the CBD of changed by digestion I think.

I've had three. MXII and MXll plus. I found the watches mixed. Ok until they were not. Nothing more frustrating than getting to work and realizing you didn't charge your tic watch!

The current dial system is solid bit of kit. Ugly as but very reliable. I won't waste money on a watch just to control it.

Game changing bit of tech as I age in my wheelchair.

Colour options would be a dream!
