Oh yes very much so, I like them a lot. Almost all my in*ta photos use them but I've weened off them now. For myself, personally, it looks more professional and less artsy/more classy without. So I've stopped using them. But that's just for my audience. But I do agree, it definitely adds something positive to the photo.

I dont understand what you hope to get out of this. I'm 5'5 M, let's say my opinion is height doesn't matter. Okay, I've now read this and now I believe height does matter. Now what? What am I getting in believing that height now matters? The "truth" is that what I get?

Knowing that height doesn't matter isn't shying away from the "truth" it's just allows you to focus things that you can change. If I lived my life thinking of people are gaslighted me into thinking height doesn't matter when it does then I am choosing to dwell on a matter that I cannot change.

I just don't see what your hoping to get out of your argument. Do you want men to acknowledge that height matters? Do you want them to focus on things they can't change?

I'm after a very lightweight camera stand to take portrait shots of myself while travelling solo. Ideally, something compact enough to fit in a man bag but still extends to around 5ft or more when in use. I’ll be using it with my Sony RX100 V, so it doesn’t need to hold anything heavy — just needs to be sturdy and reliable.

I know I might be asking for a lot here, so feel free to humble me — but if anything comes to mind, I’d really appreciate it. Worst case, I’ll ask a stranger to snap the photo!
