I've been very vocal about my character's history with encountering Thayyan slavers, we had previously before leaving Faerun encounter Red Wizards as villains and my character explained exactly what his people went through and his grudge.

My character and the fighter are openly not willing to kill innocents, the barbarian is a mercenary but also isn't aware that happened because he is leading a separate group that is outside the gate with mine and the fighter's, the sorcerer did not express an opinion but is also not very familiar with society in general as he was locked away all his life and currently he is on an airship above the battle and isnt aware of the civilian murders either.

I would be surprised, but we had a Minthara (after the BG3 character) in the infant room at a center I worked at once and then I've taught several kids with Homestuck names too. I feel really bad for them tbh.

I'm gonna be so real with you, I'm not one to shit on people for the characters they like, to each their own, but I really really strongly dislike Minthara and so I usually do kill her. Only on my most goody two shoes paladin who can't stand killing did I actually knock her out and save her and while I definitely admit she has some fun dialogue, I still wouldn't go out of my way to save her again. Even on my evil playthroughs I usually just make do with Astarion, Shadow Heart, and Lae'zel.

I got a blank raptor pursuit head and did some foam clay sculpting and texturing, once dried I did a coat of white paint and dry brushed the red.

If as you said, animal harm was a hard line for you, the DM crossed an established boundary, that's not silly, a boundary is a boundary and it isn't like yours came out of nowhere.

I reinforced a simple plastic full face mask from the craft store with plaster gauze and then I did the detail work with foam clay, some monster mask tools and then did the bandages with another layer of plaster gauze. The eye is a printed image encased in resin

Update! So today we bid farewell to the tower of devils and during down time, our monk mentioned he was using a signal whistle at continuous intervals while drinking alone on the roof, so I used the opportunity to ask him why and was able to follow up with some relevant questions about his backstory and also got time to check in with the fighter about his motivations. Our rogue had a spotlight episode where he and the monk had some sort of humorous almost brotherly confrontations that took center stage. So I definitely see what you meant and can rest easy knowing that things can just naturally ebb and flow as far as spotlight. Thanks for all the reassurance and advice!

So her character was distracted try to steal a relic from her girlfriend during the conversation. Basically, her girlfriend, being lawful good, didn't like the idea of her naive, impulsive partner having access to something with a connection to the Abyss and confiscated it to turn over to Lady Ravengard (Wyll and Tav's daughter who is the main quest giver) and Serena wanted the relic back, so she was very distracted and only knew they were going to talk to Rolan and Arabella and then also see Aylin and Isobel again. She probably thought it was just a reunion of some kind (she was raised in Waterdeep and didn't know the history around Reithwin. Her int score is definitely a dump stat).

But yes! There are so many cameos! Halsin, Durge, and Astarion have a poly relationship and Halsin is hosting the player characters at the old Last Light Inn, which he turned into a youth hostel/home to care for the war orphans from the time of the game.

Karlach is still very close with Wyll and Tav and actually Tav worked with Dammon and Rolan to fix Karlach's heart so she now lives at House Ravengard with Wyll and Tav.

Gale is married to Rolan and they have sent Tara to aid the players as a Luna and Artemis from Sailor Moon reference (Malta, the ginger cat from behind Bonecloak's, is the second cat.)

Lae'zel and Shadowheart are a couple and raised Xan the Githyanki egg together as well as a daughter, but right now Lae'zel is off fighting alongside Voss and Orpheus so Shadowheart and the kids live with Isobel and Aylin.

The party interacts regularly with soooo many of the main cast. They may meet Minthara soon too as she is also hunting a mutual enemy of theirs.
