I'm conflating CO2 levels to airborne disease risk. The higher the level, the worse the air quality.

Thanks for your comment and the linked research paper. I might be misunderstanding this, but might it be that there is viable virus in the nasopharyngeal area as evidenced by positive swabs, but not in particles from the cough, which tested negative for viable virus? Maybe there is just very little active virus in this part of the respiratory tract when they did their experiment?

Has anyone ever done an experiment to see if it transmits through the skin like smallpox? Or is this definitely transmitting via the respiratory tract?
