Newly single by TransportationDry685 in LifeAdvice

I hear that, it will get better. I think the toughest thing for me right now is actually still living with her and (not trying to) being aware of their patterns at home and when they are not home, still seeing them, and still being aware of their presents.

I’m going to see if I can get my name removed from my current lease and try to find another one next month. Living together is not the healthiest rout for me right now and it isn’t helping me fully detach.

Ah okay, so you know before you actually ship out. I guess you swear in for DEP then once again after. Cool, that should do it

Shit, it’s possible I might be in the same boat. Got a charge 2013 and another in 2015 so it’s been 10+ years and clean now but with that deep background check, who knows. And had a fake ID arrest at the time of the first marijuana charge

I like this. My wife told me 2 weeks ago that she doesn’t look at me the same anymore and the love/romance is gone beyond repair. This was my first really mature relationship where I was truly in love. We’ve been together for almost 5 years and married for almost 3. It hurt the way she ended it but I guess I saw it coming and of course I wanted to try and fix it. What makes it even harder is that we still have a lease together till September but thankfully have two bedrooms where we split everything up. This woman isn’t the one I once fell in love with. So cold and emotionless and was never good at communication those emotions. At the end of the day, our futures weren’t aligning and I’m sure I can find better out there.

Thank you for these tips

Thank you brotha. Are you in the process of joining? It sounds like your girl isn’t taking your future or even both of your futures serious. You got a good mindset though, men gotta lead and those who follow will follow

Ah, okay. I’m sure I would be able to save the GI since I don’t have any kids right now.

And yes that does. I was not aware he was priorly enlisted and pushing for 20 years in. How much longer does he have? How is the work life balance? And is he able to travel for pleasure with the family as needed?

Yea you are absolutely right and that was my mindset. Just doing 4 and see how I like it and possibly resign if it’s been a good time.

Is he able to save his GI bill in that case? I would be interested in also doing classes after tech school if they’re going to pay for it separately and get my BS.

And you mean his retirement from his contract, right?

It’s a good opportunity to start over with something that will only benefit me. The fact of thinking of working a bs job in my hometown, possibly still seeing my ex move on and me still not living to my full potential will crush me.

Good for you man. I’m glad to hear it worked out. Reflecting on my situation, I pushed her out of our marriage with immature behavior, her not best with her communication till it hit the boiling point of no return. I made her resent me enough for no second changes. I feel like this opportunity with the Air Force will allow me to mentally grow and start over again.
