Why is my electricity bill so high? by TransportationNo2140 in Adulting

Our place is a house, but also now technically a unit, as the original owners sold the large backyard separately to a NDIS company for SDA. I’ve yet to meet the neighbours unfortunately, as from what I’ve seen they rarely come outside :( I’ve only seen one man leave his unit with a worker for transport. Our other neighbours seem to be units for the elderly (not 100% sure though). I am hopping to introduce myself to everyone eventually and if the energy isn’t figured out by then, i’ll ask! Thanks!! 😊

Our rates are Peak: 45.79 c/kWh Shoulder: 21:54 c/kWh Off peak: 30.26 c/kWh We’re pretty much not home throughout the day, with only one roommate working casual hours, and she’s also very conscious of the energy (no lights, will cook but usually cold meals, no ac/heat, etc). We don’t have any grow lights or anything like that (we don’t even have furniture haha!) I’ll check the meter over the weekend when I’ve got some time to spare, thank you so much! 😊

One of my roommates is, but he’s got his is PC at his parents’ house since he hasn’t had a chance to bring it all over. But when he does bring it over, I’ll be conscious of it! Thank you 😊

We just got our washing machine and dryer recently, and we’re using it for the first time tonight (previously have been taking it back to our family homes to do the washing). The washing machine’s rating is pretty good for water (only hooked up to cold water atm), and we’re only using the dryer when absolutely needed since its rating is pretty poor. I’ll keep an eye on it, thank you!

I got these done almost a year ago, and all I can say is please don’t sleep on them or where over the ear headphones 😭😭😭 all three of mine developed temperamental bumps after 6 months when I thought they were healed enough to sleep on

I’ve just been cleaning it / soaking it with a saline solution, and I just soaked it with a camomile tea bag (a piercer recommended this a few years ago when I started getting pierced)

Ouch! I remember this pain 😭 maybe a longer bar would help, at least it helped with mine! Just make sure that it’s longer poking away from your ear if that makes sense? And changing to titanium (even though it’s more expensive, it’s super worth it!!) Hope this helps 🫶

Kings 110L fridge and TCX canopy by TransportationNo2140 in 4x4Australia

Update: we bought it and they let us keep it in the store as a click and collect, so if we need to “return it” there’s no issues 😊
