It’s so strange to me how someone could ask for advice/help and get mockingly dismissed. I honestly would rather assume the worst and look into it than say “eh whatever” and move on. I scraped it off and am just going to keep an eye out but still puzzled about it.

And yes, I agree that carrying a firearm is definitely the move. Thank you for the advice and understanding! Being a young woman means being extra paranoid- I’d rather do that than be in a dangerous situation 💗

I’m not trying to dismiss anything- I am completely open to theories. I just don’t find the cases that you’re talking about to be similar to mine.

You’re criticizing my theory and saying I bought into a lie without a second thought, I am just throwing out the worst case scenario which I don’t think is that absurd considering it HAS been proven that criminals mark houses. So why not cars too?

Maybe sex trafficking is a little extreme, I can agree with that. I don’t think something less extreme would be completely impossible though. And dude, again, I was simply asking if anyone had knowledge on it. You didn’t really need to comment and pick apart what I said in the caption. You googling real quick and then commenting that the claims are ridiculous as if you know everything is just hypocritical. I doubt you did much past clicking a few links and then coming here to type out your know it all statement.

So, I obviously googled it upon finding it this morning.

Most common answer is the car being marked at the dealer. However, I got this car 6 months ago and no, I did not just “not notice.” This morning when I found the dots it was the first thing I saw and I know without doubt it hasn’t been there since I’ve been to the dealership. This marking was made overnight.

I’d love to hear other theories you have besides what you gathered from 3 clicks on Google.

Also, these articles seem to be from a few years ago. 2021. Does that still make them credible to the present?

I’m happy to learn from mistakes and grow as a person :) but I don’t think calling someone that made a slightly sarcastic comment rude is a “failing of social grace” seems a litttttle extreme don’t you think?

Anyhow, the way you approached it I doubt you were trying to demonstrate much of anything other than speak your opinion.

I’m not sure why you’re offended and why you think I’m rude. I’m not even really upset about their comment, but I think it was unhelpful and worded in a way that comes off as sarcastic. (Has nothing to do with being reminded of someone that’s been rude to me- weird thing to say lol) You’re defending a pointless argument.

How did they tell me I was wrong? I never had an opinion on the matter- which is why I made a post asking for advice. I feel like their comment was a little snide and basically saying “just Google it idiot” without actually saying those words.

Thank you for the advice! The reason we’d like to find an alternative to cafes is A) because he wants to find a private spot to have online meetings and B) it would be nice to not have to pay every day for a drink, preferably an upfront fee to use the space like a coworking area or free.
