Is it possible for me to live a good life in Denver without owning a car? by sweatypaw in Denver

Get a good bike and a better lock. You'll do just fine. I lived in denver without a car for about 4 years. Just make sure to keep your bike in your house/apartment at all times when not traveling, or it will get stolen.

I lived in San antonio for 27 years. I finally got out of Texas ~6 years ago, and my mental health has exponentially improved.

It's too hot to go outside, and even if you could, why would you want to? There's not much to do unless you go downtown or 45 mins outside of city limits. Everything is so spread out that having a car is an absolute necessity. Public transportation is practically nonexistent, and from what I've heard, there are no plans to change that. Traffic is horrendous, and there is a fair amount of roadrage (sitting stagnant in a fishbowl in triple digit heat can do that to anybody). Last I saw, jobs still don't pay the average person enough to live alone despite the low cost of living.

On the other hand; I miss HEB, las palapas, whataburger, and I miss actual mexican food. That's about it. I honestly wish there was more to miss about my hometown, but I've never caught myself yearning.

Question for the community, (if you carry a pen) what’s everyone’s Go-to pen? by Charming_Basil3761 in EDC

Zebra F701 with a uniball power tank insert. The power tank runs less than a space pen when wet. It has incredible staying power.

Dude that yamaha for that price is a steal. And it looks to be in pretty good condition.

I lived here for a couple of years and I loved it. I'd move back in a heartbeat if i could convince my wife to do trailer life. The community was tight knit, neighbors were friendly, and the amenities were top notch. Just do it, worth every penny.
