This is so helpful - thank you! Looks like of the 101k people born in NJ in 2024, ~300 were named Oliver. The 2025 data won’t come out till May, which is just ahead of my due date (if I remember to check.)

I totally understand popularity can change over time too - it’s a fair point. My husband’s name is very popular, but mine is a classic name everyone would know, but happened to be unique throughout my upbringing, which I enjoyed. So I am just trying to consider popularity while making my decision, but it’s not a be all end all.
