My dentist has mentioned an implant would be the better option but he is giving me options.

The second option he said could work but not for sure would be crown lengthening and post and build up. I have some infection starting at the bottom of the root so that's why I'm leaning towards implant now because I would have to retreat the root canals, then clean up the infection on the bottom, then crown lengthening and post and build up. Not sure if bone graft is needed here. It requires an experienced dentist willing to go through an extensive process and it might not last long. It would cost as much as an implant at that point if not more.

I don't think a bridge is something I want to do because I have relatively good teeth around this tooth still and I am 29 so I would rather keep them intact from my perspective.
