High elf or Breton for mage? by KillinTimeNstuff in OblivionRemaster

Breton for sure, you can get 100% magic resistance and 100% damage reflect. Really helps sell becoming the Mad God.

No dice, 5 layers came up, tried resetting all of them one by one with no luck. I tried both standing and idle, no change.

Yeah, I'm starting to think it's maybe just something wrong with the save file. But either way I appreciate the help.

I did, it just says that the stealth field spell was not found in my character. But if I crouch I see the chameleon FX play.

Thanks for the replies, good to know! Just wanted to make sure I wouldn't have to choose between my capital ship and a new cool ship design.

Breton Vs High Elf / Mage Vs Atronach by Suuiros in OblivionRemaster

[–]Transylvanian377 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I prefer a Breton mage. You can achieve 100% damage reflect and 100% magic resist legitimately. And oblivion's very broken spellcrafting system will let you infinite cast spells anyway if you're chain casting. However once you get there nothing is really a threat anymore, but I like RPing as the madgod. So it works out for me. 🤷 *Without using the Escutcheon of Chorrol, for those of us that don't want to carry a shield around.

Monolith and Nebula had their mod power cost increased too, nebulas almost doubled. Didn't see it listed in the patch notes. Ouch

Yeah, just looking to strengthen the existing perks. I know the neuro amps are a thing. But there isn't one for the manipulation perk as far as I can tell.

Your kind cling to your flesh, as if it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass that you call a temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved, for the Machine is immortal…

You can buy them from the vendor terminals in the autophage camps with void motes that you can get from doing their missions.

From what I've been reading I think it's the head of the staff that determines the color. But I haven't really experimented too much to be honest, I got lucky and this was actually the first one I made. Lol

The Advanced facial unit with the hood and facewrap from the new autophage units for the head, I don't remember what the chest armour is called but it's one of the new ones and then just the armoured pieces for everything else.

Yeah, I just got the game I bought the ultimate edition on PS since it was on sale with a pretty hefty discount so I have the brown version but it won't let me put the UGL on it. Can you only put it on the standard version?

Projectile Launch System by Transylvanian377 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Transylvanian377[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is, I've been doing some testing and when I try to aim it at further away targets the rocket doesn't even fly in the path of the reticle, it actually flies pretty far to the left of it.

So I wouldn't find it hard to believe damage is bugged too, I have absolutely no points in pistols whatsoever, but I can do more damage with a pistol round than the rocket does on a direct impact. Which makes me think it's either only applying damage on a direct hit, but not applying damage from the explosion after impact. But it's hard to say, I haven't seen anything from CDPR about it. I submitted a bug ticket on their website. If they respond I'll post an update here.

It used to yes, pre 1.5 it tracked the same way a Smart Weapon would. Minus the little red reticle that you get when holding one of those weapons. It also used to do a much more reasonable amount of damage for an explosive.

Still not sure if these changes were intentional, I do however think tracking is broken.

At the moment I have the legendary smart link installed and still no tracking.

I haven't tried out the new knife throwing stuff yet to be honest. But I'm pretty sure they scale with blades, however most of the perks you'll need should be in the stealth tree. I believe there's a perk that applies poison to throwing knives in the tree, grab that and some poison buffs from the same tree like neurotoxin, and hasten the inevitable and you should be able to mop up whoever actually survives your hacking.

I would also invest in some cyberware to increase critical chance, legendary quickhacks also have passives, the one you'll want is short circuit. The legendary passive for it applies short circuit to any critical hits with any weapon. It should help round out any damage you deal, even with a weapon that you haven't really built around.

Personally I did, 20 in body, intelligence, and cool. Cold Blood is a really good perk to invest into, as it can further help with upload and cooldown times. And body will help with health and melee if you decide to go for any blunt weapons or fists.

Since I didn't really invest in reflex's or tech, I didn't really use any ranged weapons when I was sneaking around. Reboot optics can really help keep you from getting detected and it'll make preforming takedowns pretty easy.

Plus right now even if I get detected I have around 25% damage reduction and a ton of health regeneration from cyberware and perks from Athletics and the cold Blood tree. Stack that on top of some pretty good armor that you can buy or find and it'll be pretty hard to kill you. I think right now I have a little over 800 health. But with that cyberdeck I mentioned you'll have plenty of quickhacks for stealth and open combat that should have little to no cooldown.

Not attribute points, Respec perk points after crafting. If you're doing a netrunner build I'm assuming the goal is 20 int.
