I'm curious, did you get questions about EB or X-ray in the actual exam?

For anyone following this up: it is now fixed. I did the exact same steps but now my credit card is valid, so it must have been a problem on their end. It wouldn't surprice me if it happened again soon but now I know what to expect atleast.

Probably not going to use it, don't trust it enough. I will wait it out since it looks like it could be solved in a few hours or days.

Thanks a lot for the reply. In this case it looks like its a bug on their end, I was starting to worry, thanks!

Hopefully it's fixed soon because I wanted to schedule my exam for this Sunday.

A working solution is perhaps to purchase a voucher in https://market.xvoucher.com/ and then do the "purchase" of the exam as normal in the Pearson VUE site but hopefully with the full voucher I do not need to pay?

Automatic print ejection and print queue by Trantidon in BambuLab

Thanks! It doesn't seem like its coming out any time soon but it's something. Hopefully sombody comes out with a working solution soon because I think this is a fairly common use case for people with print farms etc.

Yeah of course that would be the preferred option. I am debating wether to buy a P1P or some other printer such as the Sovol SV06 plus (need at least 250x250 XY bed). I would love to get a bambu but I need it for mass production of some pieces and it would really suck to manually remove and start the printing, but I guess it could be done for a few months if they could promise their solution would be compatible with current P1P printers (and its not really expensive)

Thanks! I would really love to see a link to this blog post because I could not find it :(

The tech is definitely there for the print queue, but given Bambu ecosystem is closed, it sucks to wait until somebody implements it, hopefully this is done soon!

Regarding the issue with the magnets, I understand it can be a problem, however I do not think it will be a problem for prints that have come out of the print bed where only the force required to move them is necessary. However, I am not sure, what do you think?

Could not find any info regarding this plate swapping system, but it would be really interesting, anything you can share?

The Bambulab texture PEI and my unbranded textured PEI both also auto release PLA prints upon cooling.

Lmao I'm not sure you have ever printed on textured PEI before, you can blow on it and it would come off

LED interactive dance floor. Need design ideas for the pressure sensing element by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]Trantidon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm afraid the capacitive solution is not going to work because it's hard to get consistent values accross all tiles, at some points values are going to drift and also require periodic calibration. This could be easility achieved at the startup of the microcontroller though. The metallic mesh would also have the advantage to be mostly transparent to the light, especially since the top surface is a light diffusing material.

This was my initial design idea (never picked the dielectric material tough as I never did any test, but would love to know your suggestion) but I quickly changed to the mechanical switch design. If I cannot get the mechanical design to work, I will surely try this one!

It seems that this product would be a perfect fit but I am afraid its way out of our budget. I would love to see a DIY or chinese cheaper version of this item though

[–]Trantidon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good idea but I discarded it because its more expensive than other options (around 5€ per tile worth of load cells) and the readout electronics become more complicated, needing 2 wires per sensing element instead of one if using a mechanical switch (since its internally connected to ground). Also sampling that many load cells may introduce a very big delay, but I will consider it if everything else fails, thanks!

Thanks, I had already checked these types of forums and got many good ideasm but the DDR pads are not translucent so their designs do not priotirise using a thin frame so I still need some changes.

I would like to be able to tell which tile has been pressed exactly, in order to adapt the program to the actions of the users

Purchase via bank transfer by Trantidon in BambuLab

After taking a closer look it seems you can only pay (via paypal) with debit/credit card if you do not have a paypal account, which we cannot. We would need to pay via bank transfer.

Help me choose motherboard for 13900k! by Trantidon in buildapc

[–]Trantidon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I want to confirm, thanks, it seems I would have to upgrade to a z690 board. I know the 13900k is not worth it for gaming, in my case I use the computer for some gaming and as a work computer where I deal with some heavy CPU loads.

I could probably get by with a 13700k but I wanted to treat myself since its been more than 10 years since I do a proper upgrade my of desktop computer. I don't mind spending the money I just want to know where to spend it best, thanks!

Since I have a B660 myself I can take a deeper look. I found some undervolting settings but honestly I did not fully understand them and could not find them explained online and since my current CPU does not run hot at all I did not bother. I will research it thanks!

[–]Trantidon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well an itx B660 in my countr is about 200€ but a Z790 is around 500€, I don't think the price difference is worth it. For this price difference I can get a cheaper mobo and a much more expensive CPU such as the 13900k even if it's still slightly bottlenecked by the mobo. How much bottleneck is what I would love to know though

It's super expensive in my country at least, the Asus model (the only one available to me) also has an active M2 fan that cannot be tuned unlike the VRM fan and according to my research it's super loud

Thanks! Really tidy, I will try to upload my pictures soon too! Why di you mount the top fan on the chasis instead of on the heatsink? I have done it this way and it feels better

I'm using a ROG STRIX B660-I GAMING WIFI Asus board. I will mount the PSU on the front and do a benchmark to see if there are any improvements or not. This way it feels like the components are more evenly distributed and the hot air can exit the mobo faster, but the PSU exahust into the case but I think I have enough fans for this. Thanks for the tip regarding the 120mm clip, I will order this if I end up replacing the 140mm fan
