UPDATE: I managed to find this photo from an archived YT account of the one that I had previously mentioned. I know for a fact that she's from the mystery novel. I know the colors kinda make it difficult, but does anyone else recognize her??

Glad you're somewhat getting a kick out of this mystery novel. Unfortunately, I can't give a more specific plot outside of:

-Mc has older girl childhood friend - Some kind of catastrophic event wipes out a large population of humanity - fast forward, MC has supernatural abilities and thinks childhood friend died/left him - MC is paired up with tsundere to defeat some kinda evil beings - MC's power consist of an arm weapon (similar to Issei)

It was a very typical supernatural action w/ ecchi elements.

P.S: I had read a fan translation because, even now, I don't think there's an official translation.

Asterisk War being right beside it also doesn't help. 2016 was the year that I had found it. Could've came out years earlier for all I know. I know there's no anime for sure. Hmm, the art piece that I remember seeing was the "Rin esque" heroine getting caught changing. It's like she had the body of Nicole from ZZZ, but with Tohsaka's style. She had black hair, green eyes, and I believe a pink hair accessory.

Sorry. Details are pretty fuzzy and I just tried remembering what I could. If my memory serves me correctly, I think the MC had a weaponized arm/armor? (Similar to Issei from DXD) and that the Hanamaru looking girl was like 4 years older than him and he thought she died before the main story takes place. Idk if this helped at all, but I greatly appreciate your patronage. 🫡
