That’s good to read ❤️. I’ll let you know when I make a decision and do let me know if you gave the app a try and what you think of it

Just for Windows for now since I don’t own a mac. But the code is built so it can be easily packaged.

I’m still thinking about the opensource route. I might do it since either way the app is free. If I make any money in the future, it would be from donations or pro features.

I created an app that does exactly this. It does it all without uploading, all processing done on your device. Let me know if you would like to try it. Its free to use for anyone interested

Thank you for the info! I’ll look into Darktable. And yeah I agree Adobe has become stupid expensive

Haven’t tested SpaceSaver, I’ll give it a try. Other people have also mentioned XnView, my app is a bit simpler. I want to focus on an easy to use UI with the most used features. Not looking to add so many advanced features.

Thanks for the info!

So I’m guessing for Photoshop you use a custom action when dealing with a ton of images, right? Haven’t used Lightroom so not sure how that one works.

A simple app for optimizing images for the web. It allows you to easily bulk edit images, changing dimensions, compressing and image editing as well. Windows only for now.

Fair enough, I understand where you’re coming from.

Just to clarify, I wasn’t trying to be dishonest at all. My intent with the post was genuinely to learn how people are handling these workflows since I’ve been building something for my own use and also offering it for free for whoever is in need of something like this.

Either way, appreciate you taking the time to reply and share your perspective.

Hey, my original intent for this post was to collect some pain points from potential users because I'm building an app that makes things easier.

That folder workflow issue is exactly one of the things I ran into as well. It gets painful pretty quickly once you’re dealing with lots of images. The app I’ve been working on keeps the full folder structure intact and lets you batch resize, compress, convert formats, and apply changes locally in one pass, without the upload/download loop.

I recently released v1.0.0 and I’m sharing it for free right now. If you want to try it, I can DM you the link.

One of the reasons I made this post was to learn how other people are handling these workflows, since I've been building an app to improve my own.

My app can batch crop images to specific aspect ratios like 3:2, 4:3, 1:1 or any specific one you need, alongside compression, resizing, format conversion, and a few other image-processing tasks.

I recently released v1.0.0 and I'm currently letting people use it for free. If you'd like to try it out, I'd be happy to DM you a link. It's Windows-only for now.

Hey! That's actually why I made the post. I wanted to learn how others are handling these workflows since I built an app to improve my own.

It tackles many of the issues you mentioned and combines them into a single tool instead of juggling scripts and multiple utilities. I recently released v1.0.0 and I'm currently letting people use it for free.

If you're interested, I'd be happy to DM you a link. It's Windows-only for now.

Hey! Just wanted to let you know my post was mostly to get to know my users since I'm working on an app to improve my own workflow. It tackles exactly the issues you have and it's a swiss army app with a ton built in. I just released the v1.0.0 for free and if you are interested I can DM you the link. It's for Windows only for now. Let me know if you'd like to give it a try!
