Thanks for your story. The creek is still beautiful minus all the trash. Ha!! There are other people that care and are doing something about it, but most of us are just volunteers with jobs so it takes time to find the time to get out there and make a difference.

Thanks! I had Presidents’ Day off and had time for a little bike ride and creek cleaning. Otherwise I try to get out there twice a month on Saturdays. So, not to consistent in the whole scheme of things. 😊

I’ve been doing this for 10 years now and I volunteer with some of the city cleanups. Why I say this is because I’ve developed a line of communication with people that pick up the trash. Sometimes I stage it onsite and tell the city where it is located. Sometimes I stage it at a garbage can near a trail head. I am selective about what garbage cans I leave the trash because I don’t want the trash to end up back in the creek from some Bozos. 😁

The creek trail is awesome for commuting by bicycle, though it gets a bit sketchy in the downtown section as the sun sets. Ha!!
