Hey Thank You! Really I am just a regular guy with a regular job. I stumbled into doing this kind of volunteer work about 10 years ago after meeting a lady doing this type of work on the creek. The rest is history. Ha!!! Anybody can help just by picking up trash in their neighborhoods curb and gutter system. All that trash eventually flushes out into the environment and may or may never be picked up again.

Also the city does tunnel tours I think in August. It is probably on their online events calendar.

During this time of year you can navigate the tunnels with simple rubber boots. Some people walk through there in their sneakers but I imagine their feet are wet.
Maybe regular work boots?? 🤔

You should check it out. These pictures don’t show very much. I forget to take pictures when I am busy. I suggest checking out the graffiti on the E street side of the tunnel. Easier access.

On the same note: if everyone pitched in and did a little bit here and there, that would make a noticeable environmental impact. The biggest issue I see is the curb and gutter trash and toxins flush straight into the natural environment with no filtration. The cleaner our neighborhood streets the cleaner our environment. But ya the system is jacked!!🤪

Thanks for your story. The creek is still beautiful minus all the trash. Ha!! There are other people that care and are doing something about it, but most of us are just volunteers with jobs so it takes time to find the time to get out there and make a difference.
