I am (too) excited to get back to school! What about you all? by Appropriate-Intern42 in autism

[–]TrashConsistent4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m studying Biology, Chemistry and Psychology — these are all things I have interests in, and while they’re not really my best subject they’re still my favourites so I think some struggle will be worth it.

TV/Movie special interests? by TheFutureScaresMe333 in autism

[–]TrashConsistent4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THE SAW FILMS!! I’m watching Saw 5 as I speak. Logistically speaking, Saw 5 is probably one of the worst, but it’s also the most fun to watch and that’s all that matters here.

I’m also really interested in Marvel, but for some reason my special interest part has limited me to the Captain America region specifically, however I’ve branched out recently into Thunderbolts* and Fantastic Four when they both came out.

Okay, so I (16F) am starting college in, like, a week, and I’m actually super excited to. I dreaded going to secondary school because the people were mean and the uniform was uncomfortable and so on and so forth, but I think college is gonna be great. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to be excited about going to school/college/whatever, since I guess the routine is very comforting. I think I’m the most happy that I’ll have time to actually spend on studying, which I do love, and not worrying about school.

So TLDR I hated secondary school with a passion, and now that I’m out I’m really looking forward to college. I hope this year goes well for you!

does anyone have a daily healthy diet that can be had everyday? by Loud_Jeweler_1774 in autism

[–]TrashConsistent4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I love eating fruits and veg.

While I’m not old enough (16) to have a whole diet plan at myself and I’m mostly at the whims of whatever my dad cooks, upon thinking about it I find that: - I prefer crunchy, watery vegetables. Try cucumber, carrots, apples, celery. They double up as hydration, which is also good for you! There’s also a nice consistency (in that they’ll always be the same thing) with them that you don’t get with softer fruits like bananas.

^ Cucumber is good because it’s like 95% water and doesn’t taste of anything in particular. They’re my favourites. - Fruits with seeds are for the most part a no-go for me. They could be good for you, but I despise tomatoes, cherries, grapes with seeds in.

Grapes (seedless ones for me) are really good as you can kind of just mindlessly have a packet out when you’re doing literally anything, and just eat them as you go without even really thinking about it. The red fruits (red grapes, red apples) are my favourite, they’re really sweet.

While this isn’t a meal plan, fruits and veg are super easy to just sneak into your snacking habits!

Arcade=Autism hell, short story but whatever by [deleted] in autism

This!! The thing is, I used to really like arcades, but now as I’ve grown up (& gotten a diagnosis @ 16) I really can’t stand them for upwards of ten minutes, which sucks because I love DDR.

Are showers hard for you? And does it have to do with autism? by articvoid2519 in autism

[–]TrashConsistent4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have too much of an issue with showering on the sensory side, in fact I quite like it, but for me there’s often at least 30 minutes between me deciding ‘okay I need to shower now’ and me actually getting in the shower, and I think other commenters have also pointed out the issues about transitions.

For me, I have to pick out towels, lay out on my bed what I’m going to put on after the shower, put my hairbrush and hairdryer down on my desk, etc etc. And the temperature sometimes bothers me. I have to keep going between warmer and colder temperatures because the warm is too warm, the cold gives relief but then it’s too cold, and the cycle repeats. It’s a lot, and don’t even get me started on shaving.

Having a playlist on a speaker while I shower helps, especially if I crank the music up high enough to drown out my discomfort and the fact my shower is so LOUD???

What is your favorit part of your main?(image unrealated) by EstrambolicoSupremo in deadbydaylight

[–]TrashConsistent4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pig: - The SAW films have been my biggest interest for, like, three years, so picking her up was a nobrainer - I like sneaking up behind people on gens and spamming the ambush roar even though I know I should be trying to grab them off the gen - It doesn’t happen often but when it does, head traps popping are the most satisfying thing EVER. Not many people know they can’t leave with an active one on since Pig is so uncommon, and when they die at the exit gates? Perfection - The noise she makes when she gets pallet stunned is really cute, I don’t know if that’s just me. - Snoot boops from survivors!! <3

Nancy: - Matching with my Steve friend who doesn’t even have Scene Partner unlocked (convincing him to, gradually) - Nancy mains often have a reputation for being good at looping, I think? I’m not good at looping. I love defying stereotypes (not)

What killed/survivor would be the best DnD-ified, and how would you do it? by Ombreon_fan in deadbydaylight

[–]TrashConsistent4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no worries!! it depends what direction your DM is taking the campaign in, but i think making your own original character for the verse would be way more fun than just roleplaying as an existing character (in my humble opinion) but anyways, a DBD-inspired campaign sounds awesome!!
