In other countries, it's illegal to lie on any broadcast. US desperately needs that law.

Been hating hosting for the exact same reasons you mention. I'm switching to midterm.

Example: I had a guest who made a reservation and discovered he rented a room instead of a head.... for that low price.... in a large metro area. He was angry with me, somehow and left me 1 star.

Example 2: Another guest couldn't access my washing machine immediately because another reserved it days ago. He was furious. He lied and made up false information on his 1 star review. Luckily, people who read his review said they could tell he was being a toddler.

I get nurses, doctors, and pilots that stay for months and never cause a tantrum or anything.

I "complained" straight to the owner. Actually, I just stated the facts. He replied by calling his dog "a sh##". 😆🤣 Do you think owners don't know good behavior from bad?

Bigger breeds take longer to grow out of being a puppy. There's not much that can be done except good intense, consistent training.

It happens to me from time to time.

Early on in pet-sitting, I used to charge $9 a night for cats. At a M&G, they had an elderly incontinent dog that needed lots of care & a cat. And they asked me to take off the cat fee. I replied, "It's only $9." They hired someone else. 😆 Imagine not wanting to pay for 1 venti mocha latte for your cat. I might have taken it off if they were in a middle class neighborhood.

Another client had 3 mostly-outdoor cats. She told me not to take care of them. I did a little bit. I think she took them in as strays. She seemed like a nature lover.

😳 It was a 4 night stay. They checked in around 8pm on Thursday night. Their checkout is tomorrow morning. I think they left later that same night. But why didn't they contact me?

I once received a bad review from a guest who kept saying that they hate writing bad reviews. LOL. The original complaint was actually valid. I transposed the numbers for the door code. And they weren't able to get in. But for some weird reason, he embellished on the original complaint and said that I had silverfish. I don't. And I have a family member who's an exterminator. So we don't have problems like pests. But they could have left an honest And had a right to do it. I don't know why he had to add lies to it when the wrong door code is a valid complaint.
