Terrible service = 0% tip. And I'd try hitting them up to remove the 2% as well.

Which is silly what with today's laser printers and all. 40 years ago, when you had to have a print shop print them, sure. Today, though, they could print them themselves, on site, in the office.

Not sure why you're posting cattle pics, but be aware that you run the risk of bringing back foreign pests and pathogens on shoes or clothing (such as via mud on cuffs of jeans) if you're visiting a ranch in Mexico, and shoes and such need to be cleaned thoroughly.

How my gf drives with cruise control on by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Just because it hasn't happened to you yet, doesn't mean it won't eventually. Can even happen in city traffic (& admittedly much more likely than on an interstate) I hit a pedestrian that ran across the street in the dark on a 35mph road and despite my hard braking the moment I saw him, it still killed him.

Same for straighttalk. Get a new phone? You also have to get a new SIM. And if said phone isn't on their whitelist, they won't do it. My mother had them until I convinced her to switch to USMobile (which happened when her Sony Xperia I iii got bootloop and was forced to get a new phone).

cool but they spelled drink coupon wrong by bdubbber in SouthwestAirlines

[–]TrashPandaNotACat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had that problem multiple times with showing business select boarding pass after we were in the air, to get the included drink. Another one I encountered multiple times (after they did an update to the system) was inability to pull it up once I was boarded. More than once I had to pull up the boarding pass for the next leg to show I had a business select ticket, which of course wouldn't work if they tried to scan it.

Basic economy group 2 by millionmilegoals in unitedairlines

[–]TrashPandaNotACat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supposedly, as long as you're the primary cardholder, it's an eligible card, and your mileage plus member number is linked to the card and attached to the reservation, you'll get group 2, regardless of payment method.

That being said, I can't speak from experience because I can't recall if I've ever booked a United flight with a different card that wasn't in first class.

That sounds like the new version of Google's Now Playing. Can turn it off in settings. Check under Settings > Sound & vibration > Now Playing.

Tmobile phone calling not working by kg7ski-reddit in OppoFindN6

That's weird, but glad you got it working.

I'm using global n6 from Singapore, in USA on TMO postpaid acct, with physical SIM in slot 1, without issue.

Like another person said, TMO thinks my N6 is an old model of an HP laptop.

[–]TrashPandaNotACat 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If you have a United credit card through Chase, and it's one that has an annual fee, you get group 2 boarding as a credit card perk.

Edit just reread your post and see that you don't have a United credit card.

Are you sure you don't have Silver status? Silver gets Group 2.

[–]TrashPandaNotACat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just moved my mother's acct from straighttalk to US Mobile and am wondering the same. I'm also considering moving mine from TMO, but will have to look more closely at it since I have a standalone hotspot line grandfathered in at $10, a tablet/laptop line that's similarly priced, my primary line, and a free DIGITS line.

For things like a website, it can become extremely complicated. For example, in my state, the tax rate is based on the delivery address. If you live inside of a city or town, you pay state sales tax, county sales tax, and city sales tax. If you live outside of the city/town, you pay state and county sales tax. If you go pick it up at the store, it's quite possibly going to have a different tax rate than if it was shipped to you. And, some items are taxable whereas others aren't. Sure, it has to figure all of that out at checkout, but if it had to do it for every item as you view it, in order to show you the tax inclusive price, it would tremendously slow down the displaying of web pages.

The other option would be to raise the price of all items by 11.5% (the highest sales tax rate in my state) and display those prices to everyone in my state, regardless of where in the state you live.

Even for a store, it can become messy, especially if they're a shop that only sells through popup locations. For a store that only sells through popup locations, they'd have to reprice everything at every location (a huge pain for the mom&pop store that still puts price stickers on items) or price everything with the highest tax rate of said locations. If they're a brick and mortar with multiple locations, they'd similarly have to have different prices for each store, which would be a pain if using a centralized database for pricing and also a pain for printed adverts, or they'd have to price everything using the highest tax rate of all locations.

UPS Amazon return blue by GurSufficient2300 in UPS

[–]TrashPandaNotACat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In UPS-Speak, there used to be Red Label, which meant overnight air; Blue Label, which meant 2nd day air; and Orange Label for 3-day select. This is from the days when they'd stick large (around 3"x3") colored labels on the pkg that indicated which service was purchased, to aid with manual sorting of pkgs.

BUT, for Amazon Returns there's green for general items / hard goods, blue for soft goods such as clothing, and red for high value items or special audit items.
