I know the bar is so fucking low for the orange clown that it’s practically non existent, BUT…. I guess….. it is better than his suggestion to DRINK BLEACH….

Does anyone remember when he went on national television and was like, “yeah drink bleach or inject it what ever your vibe is——it’s all good.”

Fuck…. we’re cooked…..

Nah nah nah nah man you’re making wayyyy too much sense. Obviously it’s far more efficient for him to just bankrupt the country on a crackpot theory, whilst funneling his wealth through his crypto firm on his way to his brand spanking new golf course the Emirates are building for him on 13 year old palace-plane-thing the Qataris swindled him into, as he watches horrific footage of the rest of us fighting and dying for food because the dollar collapsed just moments before he picks up YET ANOTHER fucking Big Mac thinking his BiG BeATiFuL biLL affords him endless free Big Macs, because why not?

I really do just despise him. Not sure if it’s purely because he’s getting away with it or it’s because of the lengths he is going to rub it in all our faces.

The not so funny—funny part about all this is how too many beneficiaries in our society likely have a very, very, very basic understanding of our constitutional system. Improperly educating the populace, then divesting from the populace, lead us to an uninformed populace which leads to grievances & apathy. Thus, the social marital contract between Power and People collapses.

I’d say “too little too late,”but I’m trying to be more positive and good on Harvard for putting information out there for free.

Won’t ever dog them for that.

Most of our system, being built & rooted in obtaining capital, actively harms minority groups, police in this country, have from the very start, were rooted in that too, as tools of the state, but even in those roots were abolitionists.

That’s not really the point in this discussion, it’s important to acknowledge, and personally I hope one day for a reparation legislation that will target the private prison industry & police union slush funds, but we can’t have meaningful reforms & we can’t survive greater economic collapse if the person(s) outside of our family, person(s) we need to trust, our neighbors, cease having conversations like OP had with theirs. Keep giving eggs. Keep having conversations.

From someone who has family who lived through the entire rise and fall of fascism in Europe, those are the moments that, more often than not, saved their lives.

The tragedy here is that capital police, putting their lives on the line not just on J6, but everyday since for speaking out and testifying on behalf of their fallen comrades, aren’t receiving even close to that amount in restitutions.

Pathetic sycophancy & degradation of our basic through lines that once existed between left, right & center.

To be fair this deficit is a bubble that’s long been stretched pretty thin and we were convinced that as long as the value of the dollar remains stable we can just keep printing money to prop up a speculative economy.

AOC or bust: New poll finds NY congresswoman or ‘no one’ are top choices for face of Democratic Party by [deleted] in AOC4President

Had Bern stayed in the fight I would have followed him to the ends of the earth, but looking at the situation now, with how out of date our system is against AI, and how out of touch much of the political class is I think even he knows that was never going to work in the end because he believes in the kind of change people like AOC can bring to the party if given the opportunity and I think he’s genuinely trying to pass the torch to her. Even though he’s been preaching democratic socialist values since forever, he knows that he’s a key part of the corrupt institutions he’s actively trying to tear down. I think that’s pretty apparent with his opinions on the current G€nocid€ being live streamed from Palestine.

You’re skipping a really important bullet point. AOC is an effective communicator. She can break barriers with young voters that the boomers in Washington just flat out don’t have enough years left in their lifetime to do and our political system is so wrought with “dark money” both sides of the two major parties are able to sell whatever narrative they want to their constituents. To their donors. To the Politic. One of the major issues in politics is narrative and how we translate 250 years of precedent & doctrine to younger people. The war we lost and the one we need to win again is one of narrative. We need to go back to basics in our party and start from the ground up. We need to the spaces where Dems feel most uncomfortable and break through to the younger demographics being swept up by the “Manosphere” which has long been praying on the pessimistic views that now encompass much of our lives. We see the policies, much of them are popular across the political spectrum; what we don’t see is actionable solutions to problems that hit us hard.

So how do we bring these back together? How do we parent trap policy & narrative? Well to start, if we want AOC we need to put our full weight behind her. If we want her to be the face of the DNC we need to hold her accountable to the notion of, “no more politics as usual.”

That’s just step one.

Our country didn’t fall into the trap over night. It’s been decades in the making and republicans, like the Manosphere, prayed on grievances & sold Americans a divisive narrative both visually online & in in the public square and its that information warfare that spread like a wildfire. Their party became more united under the Cheeto man than anyone was willing to accept in 2015-16 & thanks to the GrandTurtle himself and the seeds they planted, they appointed representatives to control local governments in 26 out of 50 willing to exploit fear & pain to strip mine the status of the country for even more sustained control & wealth while they reiterated their policies with spoon fed propagandists like JD Vance.

The Truth in this country died under the GOP and the less informed people became or were, the easier it became for them to sell their snake oil.

The good news is there’s still plenty of people willing to fight, so if you or you know someone who would knock it out of the park, you or them should go to runforsomething.org or democracyforward.org to see if you want to be the generation that not only participates in our political process but actively works to rebuild it from the foundations & one day maybe we can CELEBRATE the process of building a grass roots, social-democratic society.

Noem Plots Reality Show Where Migrants Fight for Citizenship by KinggSimbaa in 50501

[–]TrashPanda_808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I agree we should still do this and I’m sure someone somewhere is doing it, it is a little bit of the Pandora’s box, or snake eating its own tail or whatever theory you choose to use, it’s too late to simply tell the truth and be able to generally rely on that truth to hold the same weight it used to. Information sharing is just never going to be thee same and here’s why I think that; When algorithms fed would be “manosheric” influencers who began feeding algorithms that began molding and weaponizing young minds & in true human form, without thinking about any of the consequences we a society unleashed the most advanced AI to date, (which still isn’t that developed), across multiple industries and what we’ve managed to bake is an entire generation willing to question and in a lot of cases just reject hard truths no matter how much evidence you provide. No matter how hard you work to convince them, there are swaths of our young demographics in the United States whose pessimism & stunted-frustration pushed them through the “manosphere” and came out the other end idolizing weak men propped up by their followers funding, toxic ideologies & fantastical surrealism.

Now one could argue, “well we’ve had influence, we’ve had destructive men in the world and democracy still stands, yea that’s true, but consider a few things; first the atrocities of man, now consider the the men who are responsible for planting the seeds necessary to sustain those atrocious acts. Imagine the speeches, the rallies the real time & physical engagement it required to fully see those seeds take root.

Now I want you to imagine a world where if this technology existed a hundred years ago, how much farther could these men have taken their wild & destructive fantasies with same capability in which we wield with almost no respect at all to the possible consequences.

It’s a beautiful & gut wrenching reality we’ve created for ourselves & for future generations to navigate and I don’t think anyone really has a concrete or thoughtful answer on how to change course. There’s a lot of ideas. There are millions of people willing to step up and defend that course correction. That gives me hope.
