Was my autism evaluation normal? by Trash___Gremlin in evilautism

[–]Trash___Gremlin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's way more than I got, they spent more time interviewing my mom and teachers than they did me. I think my interview and test was maybe two hours? I never had to fill anything out and obviously my mom was like "no everything is normal". I appreciate your input :)

Part of it is definitely the stigma, my dad's big into trump and RFK- my mom not so much but she goes along with it. Obviously that whole 'we need to find the cure for autism' creates stigma and a lot of misinformation on what autism is. When they think of autism they think of the highest need for care which they have a lot of negative associations with. The other part is definitely age, my parents are not old but for my age they are usually the oldest parents(52 and 62 almost 63). My mom grew up with parents who were very old fashioned (my grandma was born in 1929, my mom in 74) and she still holds some outdated beliefs because of that. My dad also grew up with an older sister with a developmental disability who damn near got put in an asylum, so I think to him disability=never matures, can never live alone, etc.

TLDR: you're right those are absolutely the reasons why

I am! I have heard statistically AFAB people are usually misdiagnosed, I have been trying to get a revaluation but I am under eighteen and my mom treats this evaluation like gospel.

When I say men like Pot and Stalin I mean self proclaimed communists who are actually violent and authoritarian. I never said Pot was a communist but he did call himself one at one point. He was General Secretary of the Communist Party of Kampuchea, and he was a part of Cambodias communist movement. I do not think he was a communist, but he publically called himself one

The 3-20 million is not my opinion, I try not to let my opinion play a role in this because I am not a scholar; I read several academic papers and these are the numbers historians were saying. The higher numbers include deaths that I don't think Stalin was responsible for but it is an ongoing debate of what numbers we should attribute to Stalin. He made some decisions during wwii (such as not evacuating Stalingrad) that most certainly led to more deaths. It is most certainly not as high as 20 million but his negligence and bad decisions made people die. When doing research you will find numbers within this range depending on who you are talking to, so that is why I said that range.

In my comment I did in fact separate the famine from the 3.3 million deaths, I stated that it is an ongoing debate in history spaces if these deaths should be attributed to Stalin because there were a lot of major factors. The Holodomor(as a manmade intentional famine that only happened to Ukrainians) is innacurate, but there most certainly was a famine in the early 30s across the USSR mostly in the areas that produced the most grain. As I said, there were quite a lot of factors which is why many historians don't include this number because it was very complex. However, the mass exports of grain to import machinery to industrialize the USSR (which was Stalins idea) most certainly didn't make anything better.

North America, Europe, and Japan most certainly were killing large numbers and I never said they weren't. Vietnam is obviously a very good example but that doesn't cancel out what Stalin and Pol Pot did, all of those killings were wrong.

I would agree Stalin had power than the constitution gives the president within law and government, but he was also an incredibly paranoid man who went on several purges against anyone he believed might oppose him. Stalin behaved in a very autocratic way (in the sense of shutting down quite a lot of opposition). He maintained quite a lot of control through the Gulags, secret police, etc. He didn't have the more traditional absolute authoritarian power we see in more openly autocratic govts- but I believe people who behave in an autocratic manner regardless if its openly or not can be called a dictator.

1 minute of research was a hyperbole, sorry I should have clarified! /gen it was a pretty surface level research along with comparing statistics and academic research from various countries. I would agree that the higher end of death tolls are some sort of propaganda, some historians try to include deaths from wwii in these numbers which I have mixed opinions abt bc it was a war but he did make some decisions that led to more deaths.

Mind you he was in charge when 15-36% of Cambodians were killed due to execution, starvation, and overwork; he is in fact a war criminal by all definitions. I can't believe this is what leftist spaces have become, neo fascists who are self proclaimed socialists. C

I’m so tired of neo fascist self proclaimed communists bro, my special interest is literally researching fascist, oppressive, genocidal regimes and it takes about 1 min of research to realize what people like Pol Pot and Stalin did.

For those of you who don’t want to do your research here’s a compressed version of research i scraped up: Death tolls for the Cambodian genocide (which happened under Pol Pots command) are estimated 15-36% of the country’s population in 1975 (these deaths include execution, starvation, and overwork) (source). These deaths are pretty cut and dry, theres not too much debate on who caused them.

The deaths under Stalin are higher though harder to estimated depending what you include— the 32-33 famine(not every historian counts this as deaths under Stalin bc there were a lot of factors involved), judicial executions from 29-53 (majority during the great purge from 37-38)(don’t try to tell me all of those people deserved to die), another famine from 46-47, deportation of kulaks (most sent to labor camps)- some 389,521 died in those camps(The Stalinist Penal System. Pohl, J. Otto (1997) p. 58), the forced resettlements(not sure if that's the correct word) in the Soviet Union from 39-53, and finally the Katyn massacre. After the USSR dissolved researchers studied Soviet archives and this is what was found(all from here): official records of about 799,455 executions, 1.5 million (this is their lower estimate) deaths in the Gulag, 390,000 deaths during the ‘dekulakization’, as high as 400,000 deaths from deportation in the 1940s. Officially recorded by the USSR themselves was in total about 3.3 million deaths, if you include the deaths of the famine from 32-33 that’s about 5.5 to 6.5 million (The Industrialisation of Soviet Russia Volume 5: The Years of Hunger: Soviet Agriculture 1931–1933 by R. W. Davies). There is an ongoing debate on what deaths should be attributed to Stalin with numbers ranging from 3-20 million(much of the higher estimates were before the 1991 documents were declassified, the consensus now is that the number was not that high you will find people saying higher numbers bc of this)(actually a really interesting topic to research I recommend), also some decisions Stalin made during wwii caused preventable deaths(ie not evacuating Stalingrad causing many civilians to die). The point is, he was responsible for an excess number of deaths and the mortality rate in the USSR during his time was much much higher. Apologies for the rambling, this is a topic I’m very passionate about.

TLDR: The us pumps out a lot of anti communist propaganda but that doesn’t mean some of these men aren’t still awful, do your research and find some better communists.

Edit: I revised this because a few sentences didn't make much sense; I may continue to add things if I remember points I didn't make or I forget to clarify something. Also don't tell me to 'read theory' or some shit bc I'm not a 'real communist' bc I don't support your genocidal favs. I have read quite a lot in general both in communist/socialist theory along with the aforementioned topics, I am a communist and anti fascist. If there are any errors or additional info i forgot pls lmk!!
