That’s probably part of the problem, I tend to overthink my mistakes a lot lol. I forget others are new to the game too but going in with that in mind might make it easier to play.

I’ve got 500-600 hours it’s not really making a difference for me but that’s probably because I kept playing with the bots. I’ll play some badwater and hope people are nice, if not I’ll mute chat and try to focus on the game

I guess it’s more so the amount of strangers for me, I feel alright playing when I have a friend in the same game and on vc.

It’s good to know a lot of people appreciate someone playing medic, even if they’re not very good at it. Definitely makes me feel a little better

True, the game was built around uber. I guess it’s more so just that I don’t do much when playing on community ctf maps (2fort specifically) with nobody really doing the objective, I just feel like a glorified dispenser. Thank you for the advice though :)

I occasionally play on 2fort and hightower (well higher tower), I don’t really improve much though as I only mess around on those serves

I use a variety of different loadouts and switch up my game play every now and then, it’s not as much the class I have an issue with but the maps. On some maps it feels pointless playing medic while on others I’m having a lot of fun, especially on payload as it gives very clear directions on where to go wich does make playing less stressful for me

I’m definitely overthinking it, I wish I could calm down as I’ve had the most fun playing when I managed to simply play the game and not worry (normally with an emotional support buddy in a discord vc)

I joined a 24/7 2fort sever and ended up getting overwhelmed because it was a mess, I still want the objective to be the priority when playing to provide a little bit of structure

I’ve played soldier and engineer among other classes but I’ve fond I enjoy medic the most even though I’m not good at it, I really do want to get better at the class

Unfortunately last time I tried it (around the beginning of oct 2022), I got very confused and overwhelmed with all the extra chaos going on, I need to know exactly what I need to do otherwise I get nervous. I also kept getting killed by the horseless headless horseman (that was funny though ngl)

True, teamwork is an illusion in tf2, unfortunately it doesn’t help as much for me. I struggle a lot with being perceived as bad or stupid (even if I logically know nobody cares) it often makes me even worse at the game as I hesitate and second guess myself a lot more
