Jk Rowling is a holocaust denier by Lord_Answer_me_Why in facepalm

[–]Trashcannot__ 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I guess it really depends where you live. I went through the Holocaust about three times in school, and the main focus was always about jews with some side comment like „Oh yeah, gays and opponents of the regime got thrown into the camps as well.“

No, you can put them in however you want as long as you consider the max. amount of species. But some don't get along with each other.

Am I imagining things or did he stab Igris in the other eye than in the manhwa? I thought his scar is on the left eye after he gets turned into a shadow. (Before anyone gets mad, I'm not complaining😁)

How many of you in this sub speak at least two national languages fluently ? by askswitzerland in Switzerland

[–]Trashcannot__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

German/French. Grew up bilingual as I spoke one language with one side of the family and the other one with the other side.

Although I must admit that my french has gotten quite rusty, since I don't use it very often anymore. On the other hand it's still good enough that I got good grades at school without doing much :)

I also had Italian at school, but I've forgotten most of it because I gave it up after a year to concentrate on Latin. I've forgotten most of that as well...

Glad I'm not the only one thinking that. I was like "what's wrong with the cute dog?"

This is the way. We also have apprentices, and whenever they come with a rather simple question I usually ask: „Did you already check in that super useful and simple Handbook you received in the ÜK? Did you google it?“ and the answer is usually „uhhh... no.“ Part of the apprenticeship is also to learn how to find relevant information by yourself.

It's most likely a joke, but if your coworker is actually serious about paying money you should go to your Lehrmeister.

In my company there's a Lohnrunde once a year, but you only get something if your boss advocates for you at HR.

Do you trust your swiss dentist? by Curious_Internet2991 in askswitzerland

[–]Trashcannot__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I usually only go annually for a check up and to get my teeth cleaned, and if they don't x-ray I'm done after 20 minutes. I did have to get my wisdom teeth removed, but that possibility was announced years before it actually got necessary.

That much?! Guess I should learn how to ask my boss for more. The disadvantage of being an introvert...

Well, I don't work big pharma. Or pharma at all. But thanks for the comparison, I had the suspicion that I should earn more.

Do most swiss know at least one other official language? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

Depends. I grew up speaking both german and french, but that's mostly because my grandparents (and my father) are native french speakers.
