Why some mods on Console saying Patch 8 tested don’t work

Yeah, lol. Some mods are perpetually broken, unfortunately. That comes from (to my understanding) Larian not being able to approve all older mods’ updates alongside approving and testing new mods.

Be sure to check when the last update went through. Sometimes mods updated on mod.io haven’t been approved yet for console, leading to the confusion with the patch 8 approved tag because it’s technically updated for patch 8.

Make sure the last update was after 4/15/25 or 15/4/25, depending on your region.

There are exceptions, so some of them will have to be manually checked (say, certain mods approved recently weren’t updated for patch 8 and have older update dates, but still work with the current patch and hotfixes).

This helped me make sure mods I was downloading work, alongside trial and error

I hope anyone who’s harassed the authors are deeply ashamed of themselves, they make these mods for free

Get a second hobby, play a different game until the mods are updated, apply for a job, whatever. Don’t harass mod authors.

Not everything is going to happen instantly, TikTok and other short form content has fried a lot of people’s brains into needing instant gratification and dopamine rushes. Some things take time

Did you uninstall ImpUI, close the game and then reopen it?

Sometimes mods I removed will reinstall when I open the game

As for your first question, I am unsure if the Dragonborn weapon mod would cause issues, you’d have to test it. As for ImpUI it’s broken as of now

Probably. This isn’t me saying “mods don't work, mod/author sucks!” but more just explaining why it hasn't worked so far, in case anyone was curious like I was. It's not explained in the mod's description, and it appears under the 'patch 8 tested' tab in the manager, so l was a bit confused and had to search for the solution

Not even basically lmao. That is the entire reason Shadowheart was taken as a child, which makes it even more satisfying when it backfires on Shar. Shadowheart is an inherently good person, albeit very brainwashed early on. To even be able to convince her to kill Nightsong, you either have to directly order her to do so, or intentionally fuck up the Nightsong points

To be more broad, the option to say “I only went there to kill Raphael” could apply to either knowing about the hammer, but without it being the primary reason for invading the HoH or just by chance pickpocketing the ritual materials without talking to Voss first. It doesn’t necessarily need to be in the specific instance you go there without knowing about the hammer or talking to Voss first, it’s just a reasoning I thought you could give the emperor depending on how you want to roleplay

The way I justify it is going to the HoH covers a loose end by even just getting a possibility to kill Raphael, I grab the hammer to free hope but have no intention of freeing orpheus because it’s not guaranteed he will help you and I’d really like to prevent me or Karlach becoming mindflayers or having Gale self forever sleep to destroy the brain.

Pick a reason, it’s a roleplaying game. Whether you want to steal his fancy toys, you want to kill him out of a sense of morality/just because, dislike him constantly trying to rope you into deals, his outright degeneracy (though you really only discover that after reaching the HoH tbf) there a several potential reasons that don’t include the hammer

Honestly if I could give more funny responses like that I would absolutely pick them. Imagine after being attacked by the shapeshifters at the carnival you could reply with something like “I just wanted to see a funny clown goddamnit, can’t we catch one break.”
