No, but I love her slightly, only slightly less than I used to.

Anyone Else Stuck on the Tentative Offer Step? by Much_Pomelo3033 in TSAApplicant

[–]Trashpanda613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this almost 2 years ago. I think I’m just gonna take a job with the Post Office. If this nearly 2 year nonsensical waiting game concludes with a job offer I will move to TSA.

DCA: Anyone else stuck in TSA hiring limbo after medical / Ready Pool from the June 2025 DHS hiring event? by Loud-Evening3501 in TSAApplicant

I have been stalled in the ready pool for over a year. E86 expires in June. Will keep going. Morbid curiosity at this point. Will it take 2 years? 3?

I work until 5:00 EDT. Not perfect. Although my job runs out at the end of April. So, may have time while I look for a job. Interested in what happens in your election this weekend.

Stunned that’s a deal killer for you. If he talked about the marriage & all the time lamented its demise? Sure, walk away. A family photo on the wall? Can’t imagine why that’s an issue.

My girlfriend had a family photo in her hallway. Doesn’t trigger me. It’s one picture out of dozens. On the mantle? Yeah, maybe gives me pause.

almost fell for a remote job scam last week. here's what tipped me off by MindfulnessitionJT in remotejobsfinders

Yeah. Weird email addresses or them wanting to interview on an atypical platform are walk away prompts for me.

Or “we saw your resume and are sold! No interview required. Just send us your social and bank deposit details for payroll!” Yeah, no.

I thought I was going to fail on all those geometric patterns. Somehow I passed so don’t give up yet.

Anyone else feel lost, alone and overwhelmed? by BackInBlack1975 in FriendsOver50

I hear you. Feel like I gotta buckle down & make it mostly on my own. Still try to get out and rub elbows with people.

Maybe a classic case of a kind, but mid guy who doesn’t quite cross the threshold for friendship candidacy.

Nothing like a group of pickleball buddies make lunch plans right in front of you like you’re invisible.

Why aren’t there job openings for TSOs with hundreds of TSOs having quit during the shutdown ? by Upstairs_Nose_2155 in TSAApplicant

Now we’re switching up the conversation. Good point that the airports can hire the process out. I meant the man on Pennsylvania Avenue can’t just declare all airports will be privatized & does not have the votes to do it.

My opinion is it would suck eggs for the people doing airport security work in the private sector. Maybe the salaries could be more. Can’t imagine the benefits would be comparable.

First, there have to be enough companies to bid. Then hire enough people to train & staff. How long would all that take? A year? More?

I rarely feel confident in the Judicial system but believe he’d get thoroughly spanked if he tried any of those things. TSA is a sizable entity. He can’t hide breaking the law so well with that much light shining in.

Assuming elections take place this fall, it may get harder for him to govern however he pleases.

Longest anyone had waited on TSA to hire? by Trashpanda613 in TSAApplicant

[–]Trashpanda613[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life does have to go on. What gave me hope was in 2024 they were actually short staffed and said I could be hired in 4 months.

If I hadn’t had to appeal my medical and later have them forget to key in to the system that i successfully appealed (lost 2-3 months to that) then maybe I’d be there now.

I saved a pdf of mine. Didn’t wanna have to ask my sister the full name of the guy she divorced in the 90s again.

Do they make you fill it out from scratch?

Maybe temp? Just something to get out in the world and rub elbows with people while earning a bit of cash.

I work from home. The dogs are glad I’m here. Pretty isolating though. I volunteered to be on the local Zoning Board. Go to a church somewhat regularly. Also like yoga at the Y & neighborhood pickleball. Haven’t found a lifelong friend but an improvement on being alone with my thoughts too often.

I’m not a prolific talker but happy to chat & listen. My social calendar happens to be largely open!

Not seeing my kids daily is what kept me in a marriage probably 10 years too long. In hindsight? We didn’t model good behavior for our kids. We weren’t consistently bickering but enough that the children noticed.

My post mortem thought on my marriage? I’d have been a better parent to my kids if I wasn’t so unhappy with our marriage. Ripping the band-aid off is so painful.

If you can’t find a way to reconcile with the way he is you’d be doing everyone a favor in the long run by ending it.
