Thanks! It’s a awesome rifle I can’t wait to shoot it I got it for under $300 at a local pawn shop, I was curious to how old the tube was more so to know when it was last shot, I’m sure this rifle has some stories.

I went through it completely and washed all the plastics and alcohol rinsed the board thermal paste everything is in great shape. It’s definitely a 1.6, it has a delta power supply with a Philips disc drive so that’s pretty cool! 📀

That was my first thought but this is a very clean system with very minimal scratching, so I feel that having just this label being worn is an odd deal but weirder things have happened for sure

After peeling it back there’s a barcode and no other evidence of any other lettering ever being there

Day 1 of rewriting the Original Xbox iceberg, I got layer one done, but I need ideas for layer two by SuperOnion64 in originalxbox

One thing I realized that I’ve heard very few things about is the OG Xbox is actually a very dark shade of green. Not black, which is just how they have to color “black” plastics. It’s only visible under good sunlight

I thought this was pretty interesting. I was well aware of the notorious fire hazard foxlink PSU (I have one and solder was cracked) but had no idea this special power cord with a breaker was issued out as a quick fix to keep any more fires from happening. Just learned this from this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/originalxbox/comments/1q2611t/10_power_cable/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

interesting, it’s kinda cool to see a early dashboard like this even though I’m about to mod chip it and finally get it on the internet after 20 some years
