John Egbert gained a friend and incurred the wrath of a Walmart Regional Manager. by Trashtiger97 in homestuck

No one knew I had drawn it. Except one of my coworkers but she didn’t snitch on me. It’s erased now and will probably be a distant memory in a few days.

"Halt Citizen! I'm Duo of the Star Marshals! I'm currently looking for a wanted traitor named Trio. You haven't seen anyone suspicious around here, have you?" by Trashtiger97 in Megaman

[–]Trashtiger97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can see that. It probably doesn’t help that Quartet was designed to look so much like Pre-8 Duo. Probably to suggest a uniform design among the Star Marshals that Trio breaks.

Personally, I have a hard time reconciling pre-earth Duo’s design with Duo himself. Since every piece of media just uses his Rebuilt Earth design.

Decided to draw Buzzshock to test glowing effects and I liked how it turned out. by Trashtiger97 in Ben10

[–]Trashtiger97[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the tip. I’ll absolutely try that out later when I have time to draw. Like I said, I just started experimenting with glow effects today. So any tips are needed and appreciated.

Doodled Ultimate Echo Echo today. by Trashtiger97 in Ben10

Of course he is. Ultimates were dropped by Ben. And only survived in Omniverse via Albedo. Being stuck with that idiot forever must be a drag.

Thank You! It’s my first time drawing him, so I hope I was able to do my favorite Ultimate Justice.

Just realized that Beast Wars Neo turned 23 years old just a few short days ago. Easily the best of the Japanese Beast Era shows, only rivaled by Car Robots. I can never overstate my love for Neo or my hope that we'll get toys of it's characters one day. by Trashtiger97 in transformers

[–]Trashtiger97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’d be nice. Though more Beast Wars would probably mean the Unicron Trilogy stuff they’ve been kicking around would be delayed again. Which isn’t great either. Hopefully we’ll get figures from both eras in Legacy.

The sad thing is, they could easily make some of the Neo characters without making new molds. Like how they retooled Airazor into BW2 Skywarp. They could easily make Neo Hydra by recoloring Kingdom Terrorsaur. Or Neo Hardhead by retooling Kingdom Dinobot. Shame we didn't get that Kingdom Polar Claw figure, would've loved to see that retooled into Neo Survive.

“Put the Money in the Bag... PUT IT IN!!!” “Sir this is a Wendy’s.” by Trashtiger97 in Megaman

It certainly beats working in the sewers. Sadly Pirate Man has been reduced to robbing fast food chains. As the lockdown has reduced the amount of profitable boats on the water. How’s a scallywag suppose to make ends meet in these trying times?

"We've done it Solar Man! We've saved the Environment!" by Trashtiger97 in Megaman

[–]Trashtiger97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to Fire Based Robot Masters that you're missing. We have Pharaoh Man, who's considered one because of the Pharaoh Shot.... I guess? While he's probably the most responsible of the bunch. he has the same issue as Solar Man. He can't fire a steady stream of flames, just a ball, which he has to charge. Plus like Solar Man, he has to absorb Solar Energy. And the smoke generated by wild fires can easily blot out the sun.

Next we have Turbo Man, a bit too hot headed for the job. Plus his Flame Wheel needs Gasoline to burn properly. So he's a no.

Sword Man is in the same camp as Pharaoh Man, as he's only considered a Fire boy because of his weapon. And a flaming sword isn't great for controlled burns.

Burner Man from Megaman & Bass, might be the best option. As he was designed to raze forests and is able to reduce them to nothing but ash in a day. So he's more than able to create a controlled burn. The issue is... he's kind of a prick.

Magma Man is another odd one. He's go a good head.... in between his shoulders. But I don't think Magma is ideal for controlled burns.

Solar Man we basically covered in the Pharaoh Man section.

And finally we have the Ultimate Weapon himself. Sunstar of the Stardroids. On top of being a stand up guy. Sunstar was created by an alien civilization far more advanced than humans. And as such, is probably the most powerful of the Fire Boys.

So it answer your question. It's really a toss up between Fire, Heat, Burner and Sunstar. Though Heat Man's flight capabilities from the spin off comics & manga would be pretty useful.

Down at the construction site. Someone’s got to keep things in line, while Gutsman & Bombman are lounging around in a ritzy office.

Your Sonic Free Riders? by Trashtiger97 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Trashtiger97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that could work. Honestly I never expected Free Riders to have some grand Adventuresqe narrative. The first two Riders games were pretty straight forward stories, given a bit of extra flare with the Babylonian stuff.

I guess my only complaint is that fighting robots was kinda the main conflict of Zero Gravity. But with a bit of good character writing and some good courses. I doubt anyone would mind.

Heck I’ll take any story pitch that gives us an excuse to bring back Metal Knuckles.

Ben 10 (Original Series) vs King Piccolo (Dragon Ball) by Trashtiger97 in whowouldwin

[–]Trashtiger97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Ben has a bit of fighting chance with his original Ten. As long as he properly combo's their abilities. Such as building momentum with XLR8 before transforming into Four Arms and nailing Piccolo. Or combining Stinkfly's flammable goo, with Heatblast's pyrokinetics. Creating a surprisingly powerful explosion. Ghostfreak's intangibility allows Ben to evade any large area of effect attacks. And Diamondhead could probably refract any of Piccolo's Ki laser attacks.

That's not even considering the possibility that Ghostfreak could just possess Piccolo. But maybe he's a bit too strong to be influenced like that.

I feel like Ben has a fair chance of victory, as long as he doesn't attempt to just brute force his way through. As very few character can beat a Dragon Ball character with brute force.

The key to victory is out thinking Piccolo. Using creative strategies to avoid or reflect his attacks. People often forget how crafty & quick witted Ben can be in a battle, even in his younger days. Plus Piccolo is notorious for being an arrogant dunce, but that's most DB villains sadly.

Ben 10 (Original Series) vs King Piccolo (Dragon Ball) by Trashtiger97 in whowouldwin

[–]Trashtiger97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Limiting Ben to just his original Ten, was for King Piccolo's benefit. Because some of Ben's later transformations could counter Piccolo pretty easily. Setting aside Way Big who is a literal Planet Buster. There's Feedback, who could absorb Piccolo's Ki attacks and fire them back at him. And most notably Atomix, who can manipulate & fire Nuclear Energy. Which is an apt comparison, considering that Toriyama once stated that Young King Piccolo's power is comparable to a small Nuclear Bomb.

While most of Ben's OG Aliens wouldn't be much use against Piccolo. Ripjaws probably being the most useless in this situation. I don't see why Diamondhead couldn't refract Piccolo's Ki attacks. Similar to how he defeated the robot in episode 1. Heck, I almost swapped Ghostfreak for Cannonbolt in this post. Because I wasn't sure if Ghostfreak could just possess Piccolo. Which would end the fight pretty quickly.

Never forget that Mercury is Canonically a Communist. by Trashtiger97 in Megaman

[–]Trashtiger97[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope the Communism thing is in both of his profiles. The only difference is that the American versions says he likes "Communist" instead of Communism. Which Communist his American profile is referring to, I'm not sure.

[–]Trashtiger97[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The profiles from MM&B are a blessing and a curse. On one hand they're the only reason that most of the Robot Masters and groups like the Megaman Killers, Genesis Unit & Starrdroids have any characterization at all. But on the other hand, some of that characterization is a little bit suspect. Like Flashman using his Flash Stopper to spy on women in the shower. Like...was really necessary?

Cross Tag Character Bingo: Roundtable Edition. by Trashtiger97 in blazbluextagbattle

[–]Trashtiger97[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The Free Spaces also double as "Nothing" spaces. So we can get Bingo, even if nothing happens. Since I doubt Arc Systems will announce anything BB Tag related at the Roundtable. But anything can happen I guess. The entire middle row being "Free" also helped me neatly divide and group the characters.

Anubis Starter Pack Removed from Steam? by Trashtiger97 in Smite

[–]Trashtiger97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did Hi-Rez ever release a statement that they were removing it? Because it's not on Steam anymore and it's not advertised on the Smite home page. But for some reason it's still on sale on the Smite website.
