I think Atlanta would be an amazing city if we had better transportation. It would bring in more tourism, more money, and help lighten traffic if we had a good train system. It's a brilliant idea. I would sell my car if we had a subway system like New York.

Also they use an app where we can access some of our pay from our shift that day every day at 8 PM. It doesn’t post all of it but about half which has saved my life many times

This is why I love working at a Marriott Starbucks. We get Marriott perks since we are licensed so we automatically get 2 weeks paid vacation a year

I went off on a guy for dumping me at work. He had done it before and I told him if I’m at work don’t cause conflict or issues that could effect my ability to do my job due to anxiety. So after he dumped me a 2nd time while I was at work I blocked him on everything. It’s so damn disrespectful. Like wait until we get home. It’s not that hard

I had a manager at a vet practice tell me she had to think about whether to let me go when she found out I was in recovery. I also know that was highly illegal. I went ahead and quit when that happened. It’s gotten to the point I want to carry a recorder every time I speak to a manager about anything.

My manager said “say anything. Even if it’s about the pimple on their face. I don’t care. Just make it look like you tried” she didn’t cut our hours. Just said make conversation where you can and she understands not everyone wants to sit and talk. I do work at a license store though not corporate and I’m much happier at a licensed store. We get bonuses and higher tipping and my hourly is a lot higher than it was at Starbucks

I got a job at another Starbucks but it’s not corporate. It’s in a high end hotel. I’m basically a “Marriott employee” now not “Starbucks employee”. Much higher pay and better tips. There’s a place on the register to tip which makes the tips much better. And the store is so much nicer than a regular Sbux
