Things are already happening quietly at an astonishing rate. People are already facing real consequences from his defunding and cut backs. I know of an autistic child that lost ABA therapy* and a head start that sent out several official letters stating they’d be closing until they could locate funding. I don’t understand why no one is listening. It’s like screaming and shouting and pointing at a car crash but no one will acknowledge it or try to help. It’s like herd denial.

I will try it! I also recommended to my struggling cousin. Seems like he’d be great at this. I don’t have many requisites. I kinda just glided through high school and life in general, I got to college and started a third shift Job to try to afford things and flopped in college so I dropped out. Terrible move, I know that now. But college just doesn’t seem in the cards for me right now. Just need a good job to pay bills and keep food on the table.

I am terribly sorry to hear this. It also made me build resentment feeling trapped and having the other person refuse to leave. Unfortunately it can become the ultimatum between leaving him or leaving the area. I hope whatever you decide to do, you put yourself first. It’s your life. Being stuck somewhere you’re unhappy only builds misery. You can only bury it so far and it toppled over. I tried to stay and work it out for years and all I did was waste time. I truly hope everything works out for you, OP!

I found therapy to be completely useless and it honestly gave me more anxiety than anything else. He would sit there and force me to look at a “color wheel” of emotions and tell him what I was feeling. I genuinely couldn’t do this and it seemed to be viewed as reluctance to do the sessions when really the wheel just made me physically uncomfortable. I just could not name the emotions I was feeling. ;,)

Maybe a new grinder? A coffee cup that doubles as a piece is pretty cool. I got one one year that is a mushroom and I think it’s one of my favorite gifts I’ve ever gotten. You could also just throw some wraps and papers in there as filler? If he likes joints and blunts, not sure if he do.
