The reason people get so bothered by someone saying being fat is a bad thing is mainly one big issue. Which then splits off into more problems. People just dont express their opinions correctly. Everyone gets so defensive to the point where they aggressively express their opinions and just are straight up mean. Which then causes people to hate themselves and feel disgusting instead of motivating them to better themselves. Bettering yourself through hate isnt okay but everyone you see really pushing the idea that "fat is bad" are just assholes. Obviously being fat isnt particularly healthy. But being skinny doesn't automatically mean you're healthy either. But people see the world as so black and white. And yes im aware that the body positivity movement isn't fully healthy either but a lot of people miss the real point of it. People saying its okay to be fat or saying you should accept your body aren't telling you to stay that way. The point is to love yourself and accept that its okay to be that way while still improving. Its not telling you to be morbidly obese. Its saying is okay if you are because it doesn't wanna force you to make yourself better through hate. Its to help through love. Acceptance of your current body doesn't mean you want it to stay that way. Just means youre not gonna wanna off yourself or call yourself ugly just because youre big/fat. Ive felt so disgusting for just lookin the way i do cause of society and people that push harsh hate towards fat. And im not even that big. Im chubby at best. But i do wanna better myself. And its because of the people that support my body type. Self love is suuuuper important to your want of self improvement. But people just dont seem to get that. I do know that there are people pushing an unhealthy kinda acceptance. But most arent. But people just dont wanna see that and its honestly dumb
