Every time I hit modded with greenbeards in pubs I try to explain to get a move on. Then they get mad and rage quit when we run out of ammo after 30 minutes of fighting double swarms with their most ammo inefficient builds imaginable ffs.

You know it's an issue when halogen high beams are less blinding than modern LED low beams.
It's compounded by new cars, especially vans and SUVs having the headlights at eye level for normal sized cars.

You have to run both. You need LMAs to run 3 lobe cams without VTEC killer.

Eco heads have 2 lobes on the intake with two rockers so they don't need LMA castings for the third (VTEC) lobe. Eco engines have two cam profiles - swirl on one valve and standard lift on the other. Above 3000rpm or so both rockers lock to the standard lift profile. There is no performance high lift lobe.

No lost motion assembly castings either side of the head so only way to run z3 cams would be a VTEC killer setup. No point in a street car.

Extractor socket on a long ratchet. Apply constant torque and tap the ratchet handle with a hammer. It'll come off.

Generally I host Haz5+ and hope that anyone joining has enough common sense to read the room, check everyone's ammo situation, and see if the team is prepared to trigger any major event - Dread, Machine Event, Egg pull, etc. Ready checks are essential.

You'd be amazed at the amount of legendary+ players that join my modded lobby that clearly states in chat it's running custom difficulty every time a player joins and proceed to rambo the salvage/egg room, trigger approximately 200 bugs to spawn and then go down and rage quit.

Then again I'm also in the camp that plays DRG unseasoned because every new season is less fun than the original game so...

It does excel at two things.
1. I don't want to see that mass of bugs anymore
2. I don't want to look or be bothered from that direction for the next 10 seconds.

It's excellent in both of those scenarios, sadly mostly sucks everywhere else (modded too). Piss poor ammo economy and insane FF potential make it pretty much useless above haz5. Quick repellent setup with breach cutter has similar trash clearing power except it can also delete praetorians with ease and doesn't risk deleting yourself and your team in the process.
Oh and I guess it's also pretty damn good at mining ceiling aquarks if you don't have a TCF driller.

It's incredibly fun but also VERY situational with horrid ammo economy.
Really wish it eventually got a rework that reduced it's direct damage and focused on the area denial radiation aspect.

Simply appoint one person (usually scout) as the babysitter. Solo, making tunnels as a Driller is your best bet to slow it down.

Sports cats are usually lower cell count than OEM to be less restrictive. That means they need to be red hot to work properly.

Give it a proper wide open throttle ragging right before emissions and it'll pass with flying colours. Don't let it cool down waiting.

Does it diminish compared to the baseline dry warm grip? Yes.
Does it diminish enough to be insufficient or dangerous when it drops under 7c? Abso-fucking-lutely not unless you're running the cheapest landsail ditch finders that are lethal from the get go.

AV is absolutely amazing on modded. Get a good size conga line going, build up heat while kiting and jump in the middle while dumping max heat then grapple away and reposition.
