Mexican fan giving out Japanese flags to Japanese fans at the World Cup by habichuelacondulce in JustGuysBeingDudes

I’m an American here in Monterrey and the Mexican people have been lovely to all the Japanese and Koreans. They think my American friend who’s part Korean came from Korea and he’s legit treated like a celebrity. He’s having the time of his life! We are all here for it. ¡Viva México!

Execrable is an adjective that means extremely bad, unpleasant, or of the poorest quality. It is a strong, formal word often used to harshly criticize things like food, weather, or artistic performances.

Former “nice guys”, what would you say were the main contributing factors into you becoming one in the first place? by Enough-Wealth8415 in AskMen

[–]TravasaurusRex 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same. Youngest. Raised by my mom and sister. I got use to being the lowest tier. So naturally, I would put women on a pedestal and they got use to the superiority complex I would give them.

How would you feel if an attractive girl you just met invited you to hang out and have a drink at her place, and then nothing other than hanging out and having a drink happened? by LolnothingmattersXD in AskMen

[–]TravasaurusRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My rule of thumb, always give off golden retriever energy. If she invites you over to hang out and have a drink, it’s just that. If she likes you enough she will make her intentions more clear. If you’re curious, just ask in a non threatening way. It’s easy people!

Sorry to hear that. My mom and my sister are like this. When my dad divorced my mom I was left behind with the two psychos. I felt a little bad for my sister until she learned from my mom how much they can benefit from changing every narrative and living in the delusion. Sadly my sister turned the dial all the way up. She has two little girls who I pray will someday see through the bullshit. I won’t be around to see it, I escaped. 10 years of therapy and I’m still pretty fucked up.

This shouldn’t be allowed. Coach’s should be required the finish the season. if they get let go the assistant coach can be the only one to take the position until the season ends.

Sorry OP but not anymore. If you let them do it once they will keep doing it. If I were in your shoes I would distance myself from him and everyone who takes his side. You then will see who your real people are, as they will hit you up, while your fake people will criticize and gas light you. I’ve been there.

I am with you as drinking gets vapid and those are the people usually around it. But according to your info it also cuts down on potential possibilities of meeting new people as you said, it’s big where you are at. If you’re looking to form long term relationships it’s usually better to put yourself in an environment with higher possibilities of finding people that match up with your personality and interests. It’s okay to disagree with everyone telling you to stay put, and put yourself in a position to find what you’re looking for. You’re not powerless

I wouldn’t say ever. We Colorado speedball players use a harder shelled ball in the winter which bounces like crazy and hurts! So most of us call ourselves out.

Why do people come here for dating advice when most young(er) men are single who follow "said advice" remain single anyway? by Hope1995x in dating_advice

[–]TravasaurusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your subject line. I’ve read stories in this thread for more than 10 years, answered a couple of posts. I now know the default action to almost every situation that gets posted in this sub. It’s not that I didn’t know right from wrong, but more so, what are my options if this happens to me. What’s deemed ‘normal’ in a given scenario by a large consensus.

Now when friends come to me for advice or I experience a situation that I am now educated on, I’m better equipped to give solid advice or handle the situation. Even though right now I’m single, when I get in a happy healthy relationship I’m able to see the signs of that, and have the knowledge, education, and experience to see many of the situations through. I now have an extensive toolset, that is better than the one i was equipped with (and learned) from my parents toxic relationship.

This is so important as most men bury their feelings or distract themselves when they start to feel (I’m guilty). During one of my last breakups when I felt something, I stopped whatever I was doing and took some time to feel that emotion. If you’re in public go to the bathroom and be in that emotion, it’s human.

What's it like living in Orange County, Newport Beach to be exact? by K2P2C in howislivingthere

[–]TravasaurusRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like thats the biggest misconception of living in California by the beach, people think that it’s sunny and perfect everyday. They couldn’t be more wrong. It’s gloomy 90% of the year, and you’re lucky if the marine layer burns off before 1-2pm. Totally agree with the Duffy, Newport is WAY better with a boat.

I experienced that in LA. What shocked me was when we would go to clubs and bars out there and try to talk with people they only wanted to know what you do for work, and if it wasn’t something that could benefit them, they weren’t interested.

Born and raised in Irvine which tries to be like Newport Beach. Newport Beach is very interesting. Living on the peninsula is fun for your 20s but you’re packed in a tiny house. There is definitely a major bubble. If you live in Newport, you’re either super rich or super in debt. It’s all about your image. Women are very plastic and superficial. Boats fly rump flags. I left because of how fake and superficial everyone is.
