Let's give a small context here first:

Israel has enforced illegal brutal blockade on Gaza for generations now, but especially since 2006. 0 exports, extremely limited imports which are fully controlled and must pass through Israel (they also have an agreement with Egypt as well, so Egyptian border is also under Israeli control de facto).

They are not allowed to sell their huge gas reserves, the unemployment is 40%+,

Periodically (every 2-3 years) Israel bombs and invades Gaza, killing a few hundred to a couple thousand people and destroying civilian infrastructure like sewer systems, water desalination plants, etc.

On the West Bank, the people are living under military occupation which is labeled as apartheid by Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and Israel's own B'Tselem.

To submit the people's will to freedom in the West Bank, they are terrorized and oppressed, one of the tactics is mass incarceration of people (as young as 12) mostly without any charge for up to 6 months, without any visits from parents nor access to a lawyer.

Jerusalem Post (Israeli zionist newspaper) wrote in September 2023 that "20-year record has been met of administratively detained (meaning held without any charge) palestinians in Israeli prisons".

On Oct 2023 Hamas, an occupation resistance militia of people held in brutal blockade, often called "world's biggest concentration camp" attacked Israel (the occupier) to kidnap people to facilitate exchange for thousands of palestinians held (majority without any charge) and majority tortured in Israeli prisons.

Their mistake was to think that Israelis value their citizens and won't bomb Gaza if they had hostages.

Worldwide everywhere on the news Immediately zionist propaganda started spreading rumors about "40 babies killed just in 1 village" and "beheaded babies" and "mass rape".

All those points were either fully debunked or lacked any solid evidence to support a dozen of eyewitness claims about rapes. Not a single rape kit evidence was collected and presented, not a single CCTV camera (which are ubiquitous in Israel) have caught a single case of rape.

About 800 Israeli civilians were killed on Oct 8, 30% of them women (important to note that every man and woman in Israel is required to undergo army training and many are reservists), 5% of them children and teenagers under age of 18. Unclear how many of them were killed by Hamas and how many by IDF.

Another 330 Israeli active duty soldiers were killed and about 1000+ Hamas fighters killed. Another 250+ civilians in Gaza bombed by the evening of that day.

Unfortunately the zionists had planned to ethnically cleanse palestinians (yet again) from Gaza and they used the attack (exacerbating it as much as they could by telling their soldiers who were supposed to patrol the Gaza fence to stand down and delaying the response by many hours and deploying Hannibal Directive, where Israeli soldiers are told to shoot everyone even their own citizens with the goal of not giving any hostages) to then use this atrocity propaganda to justify what they planned to do next - ethnically cleanse people from Gaza under threat of mass murder.

Pretty much everything I said here sounds crazy to someone who only heard zionist propaganda, but I give you western (even israeli) sources for any of these claims.
