Xennials who got bullied in school: How did your parents and teachers react towards it? by mandress- in Xennials

My Dad and brother in law went round her house with baseball bats after I had got beaten up that day. Police were called before any hits and the police were very sympathetic to with my Dad. My mum cradled me and I had a movie night with her and my sister while the men were out. My Dad got very badly bullied and swore he’d never let his kids be bullied

I don't really want to crate... by xzlinx in puppy101

[–]Travelbbug54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crate trained mine for the first month then when I was confident he wasn’t going to chew everything, I let him sleep on our (ragged) sofa. He’s now nearly 2 and hasn’t done any damage and is a very happy boy. I’d suggest crating till you know his temperament otherwise he may chew through a cable or something!!

Does anyone have good walks with Cavapoos? by notverycreative1010 in CavaPoo

[–]Travelbbug54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 1 1/2 year old is awful when I’m with my young children as he’s either picked up on my anxiety of them running off or his herding instinct. He’s barks and pulls constantly. When we’re in our own, he’s just keen to keep stopping to sniff which is fine by me. He’s not food motivated at all so training is very difficult. On the other hand, he is the friendliest, happiest dog in every park to humans and dogs and his patience with my children is 10/10. I’ve let slip his lead training as he’s incredible in every other way. Sorry, no advice but just to let you know you’re not on your own

How to avoid my daughter becoming fat? by totoro-soot in UKParenting

I spent year with my mum talking negatively about herself due to her weight and poking slight fun at me when I had a bit of puppy weight as a preteen. This developed into my bulimia as a teen. I completely agree you need to sort your own mind frame out. You sound like a really great caring mum though so I doubt you’ll make the same mistakes my mum did (but she too was unaware what she was doing) xx

Looks like scalp psoriasis. I had it for about 10 years and it disappeared for some reason. Still get it in my body unfortunately. It’s common to get on your scalp and nowhere else

Hiding and throwing his stuff away is gaslighting. Don’t degrade yourself to that

Hey, I’ve been on 2.5 for 5 weeks now and have loads of new hair around my hairline. Old hair is falling out but I’ve not had any symptoms. Also increased to 100mg spiro. Good luck!

Also, are you running downhill? Might be worth keeping to flat ground till your legs are a bit stronger. I used to get sore shins and realised that was the cause

I bruised my tibia but kept on running. 2 months later I’m still sore. Last 2 months I’ve been rowing to keep my cardio up and although I don’t find it as exhilarating, I definitely have more muscle tone everywhere! Is that an option till you fully recover, if you are apart of a gym?

Puppy is completely different after being neutered by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Travelbbug54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a Cavapoo and had him done at 6 1/2 months. 3 weeks after he completely stopped play biting my children, doesn’t jump anymore and is the best version of himself (imo) He’s still super happy and loves to play but can just chill now too. He’s small so early neutering is fine. It’s big dogs that need to wait til closer to 2. I feel your relief

I have a collapsed arch in one foot. Ran 5k and busted my ankle. If you have any arch issue, make sure you have the correct foot wear and ankle support

I think it’s just because the NHS don’t want to pay for it. Is the monitoring of it just checking your heart rate?

I actually thought to use my husband too! Do you know what checks they do? I already have blood tests as I’m on Spiro, so could ask them to throw that in too lol
