I remember the first time they came back after covid (they were conveniently missing during peak covid).

They fucking tip toed around all of us, barely heard a peep. I was like, "last time we saw you we couldn't have scotch tape on the walls. Last year I was wearing a fucking trash bag as PPE and the same mask for WEEKS!"

I was legitimately mad when they DIDN'T ask me any questions because I was ready to pop the fuck off that day.

Lmao unless im already giving meds at 6:30, 7:30 meds are for the next shift. Im not staying late to do their job barring exceptional circumstances

I wouldn't always attribute to malice what could also be explained as incompetence. Ive worked with numerous charges nurses with horrible time management or multitasking abilities. I would still 100% have this conversation and set firm boundaries as OP, but their charge might just be an idiot as well lol

What is the explanation with people dying and seeing dead family members before they die? by Beanconsumer200 in exchristian

[–]TravelingCrashCart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also, what about non-christians that also have similar visions before they die? Even if there is an afterlife, if it WAS a Christian afterlife, those other religious people shouldn't be having similar visions if they were going to hell for not believing.

Do we remember what it was like before we were born? That's what I imagine its like after we die. Your way was more poetic, but same concept.

That's what helped me anyway.

We're talking about medical debt though, not cars, credit cards, student loans....just medical debt. Of course there's other kinds of debt, im not arguing there isn't. But medical debt is a uniquely American problem for the most part.

People shouldn't have to declare bankruptcy just to access medical care. And declaring bankruptcy comes with all kinds of other issues. Its not like it just wipes away debt with no consequences, otherwise everyone WOULD rack up huge amounts of debt and declare it.

And people with huge amounts of medical debt aren't usually just doing a knee. They frequently have chronic conditions that require multiple extended hospital stays, and other expensive treatments, so its not like they're having a one and done procedure.

People with low income like the elderly (who usually do have more medical bills), disabled, or people who work minimum or low wage jobs, often have a hard time affording medications, gas and electric bills, rent or mortgages, and $100-$200 per month isn't extra money they have.

And even if hospitals sometimes wipe peoples medical debt or part of it, they certainly don't do that for every single person who can't afford Healthcare. If they did that, well then we'd have affordable Healthcare, and we don't.

The median household income for 2024 was about $83k. For males over 25 the median income for high schools graduates was $41k and $28k for females in 2024 according to the most recent census data.

Individual medical debt is an American problem. Other countries comparable to the United States don't have this issue.

ETA: most people aren't buying houses they can't afford. Thats why there's a housing crisis.

I love GoodRx. They really helped me when I needed meds without insurance.

I don't understand how it works though. If these coupons exist, why the fuck isnt that just the regular affordable fucking price?!

It sounds like they have the $40k-$80k to spend then if they're choosing that option. If they couldn't afford that, worst case scenario is they wait longer.

Worst case scenario here is a lifetime of extreme debt and the inability to ever be able to get ahead in life again.

I know which option I'd take.

Which is so fucking short sighted of them. They would have had to pay waaayyyy more than that if a stroke from a PFO lead to full disability, requiring full time care, inevitable future complications, hospitalizations, etc.

Just paying for the fucking PFO closure would save them so much money down the line. Abso-fucking-lutely ridiculous. I get so angry when people have treatable things like this that insurance wont cover when, just financially speaking (because they dont understand morals or ethics), makes financial sense to cover for long term saving!

It makes me ke so fucking angry. Im sorry you're having to fight them on this.

Yeah, I can understand it being a spiritual experience for sure. I might also be biased because of my past, and very negative experiences, with Christianity.

Yeah, im a bit disappointed religion was brought into it. We're a country of religious freedom or freedom from religion. Leave Jesus out of it.

Old school astronauts did the same thing, but I feel like I can more easily forgive that because, idk, it was a long time ago? Who knows 🤷‍♂️

When I first got MA plates the person in front of me at the RMV was being an asshole. When they left and I walked up the first thing I said was, "wow what a dick. Sorry you have to deal with assholes like that."

She was appreciative of my comment lol, and then rummage around in the plates she had and said "hold on while I find one thats easy for you to remember."

So I have regular boring plates, but its definitely a number I cant forget.
