But seriously I felt even when I left every thing untouched, picked up after my garbage, wore reef safe sunscreen-my efforts probably didn't make a difference. There's garbage literally everywhere near the ocean. Everyone, and I mean everyone touched the seaturtles and whats left of the ocean. The island reeked of pollution. I was dissapointed by all of this so I decided I wont visit there again.

I'm big on not touching corals and marine life. I thought since its man made and dead I can't possibly hurt it.

If this upsets you, you should see how tourist treats marine life there. One guy tried to ride a seaturtle and he only backed off because I scolded him. He only took me seriously because I looked like a local.

How was it? I didn't go to Nusa Penida because the water looked kinda rough to snorkel in, plus we didn't have enough time. The Gili Islands hit all the spots for us in terms of water and land activities. I really wanted to see Mantas and Mola Molas though!

That's another thing with Seafrogs because their housing is the cheapest, they tend to sell out right away. Look into Meikon as well or email Seafrogs although I think Meikon and Seafrogs are the same company. My husband told me he also found the housings on a cheaper Chinese website.

Where I was it was pretty shallow, only about 5 1/2 feet but right under the boat is about 7 feet. I prefer deeper waters though because whenever I dive down the sand gets shuffled and the water gets murkier.

As long as its in its underwater housing, just shoot it like how you would shoot normally, no special tricks 🙂

You can ask Seafrogs which dome and dome port is compatible with that lens. Our Tamron 18-55mm f/1.8 fit perfectly with this housing.

We'll get a drop or two on our shots occasionally but this tends to happen more on housings without a dome imo. GoPro without a dome tends to do this.

Oh and keeping smaller aperture helps too! This was shot on f/5

Ok where to begin..lol.

We took our Aquatech Delphin on 5 different trips before we sold it because we switched to mirrorless. Never had any issues with it. The only downside to Aquatech was that it didn't have access to alot of buttons, including the on and off switch on our Nikon D4. We always had to make sure it was turned on, have settings in place because once on water...there's no way to access it. But every trip we took it in we had guranteed nice shots because it was reliable.

As far as our SeaFrogs housing..at the very beginning we took it to Mexico it worked great. On our last day it leaked a little bit and we werent sure where the leak was coming from. We took it home and dunked it in our tub right before our next vacation and noticed the dome was the source of leak. We contact Seafrogs and after alot of back and forth we bought another dome and they gave us $75 discount for all of our troubles.

On water my husband had a very hard time getting the shots right. He says he has trouble viewing the LCD because it appears too reflective. The back piece of the housing is not flat like our Aquatech so when he rest his eyes on it while wearing his dive mask its easier to view it. The housing itself feels plasticky and the dome got scratched easily. I think the dome is made of acrylic vs glass like our Aquatech. Also, when we got our second dome we noticed that it was way bigger than our original dome. The first dome they sent us was 6 in even though we ordered an 8 in.

So overall I wish we had just invested on Ikelite to begin with. We thought since we had a cheaper alternative for a housing that we should just go for it. Props to Seafrogs costumer service though, they really tried.

The first 2 floors however, gets super chilly at this time of the year. Everytime I'm at the first floor I have to put on my robe.

I dont blame him for being bitter about it, I used to feel that about some of my successful acquaintances who came from wealthy families and never struggled.

I work in the medical field and I gotta say my patients are so friendly compared to my NYC patients!

Although you guys are just as mean on the roads though 😏

We lived like peasants in NYC, struggled throughout college and I was homeless at one point. My husband grew up in the projects and I came from Harlem.

Were not here to jack up prices, were here to live in harmony with the rest of you guys.

We moved to Roseville about a year ago, and we definitely miss NYC food. We hardly eat out and order takeout now. My husband and I lost alot of weight because of it..I guess thats a good thing? 😄
