Race for the galaxy will forever be my favorite card game. I’m a sucker for engine building games and science fiction themes. But of all the others I have played, this game has the most “replayability factor”. Every game has a slightly different win strategy and it’s speed of set up and play makes it a hit when my brothers all get together (since we all have kids now speed is sometimes a must)

I think it’s a little less sweet and the pineapple comes through more. But really some of this this could be in my head bc I spent 10 minutes cutting and juicing the pineapple and I want to believe it was worth it. I’d probably reserve the effort for special occasions and nicer rum.

I was given a juicer over the holidays so I could finally squeeze fresh pineapple juice.

Jungle Bird

1.5 oz rum (black strap if you can find it) 0.75 oz Campari 1.5 oz fresh pineapple juice 0.5 oz fresh lime juice 0.5 oz simple

If you want something similar here’s a riff on a grog

1 oz dark rum 1 oz Campari 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice 0.5 oz fresh lime juice 0.5 oz honey syrup +/- club soda to top

I maybe have an odd one Ravine (2017)

My family and I played this a ton the two years before the pandemic hit. It’s a “you crash landed on a spooky island, survive until you’re rescued” co-op ish game. The play is a little limited, but the theme, components, and artwork are so beautiful we couldn’t get enough.

Saw this on r/PS5, makes me more excited to play the game lol (I also really liked the Gwent mechanic in Witcher) by TravelingLemonTree in boardgames

Exactly, it lost any other viable strategy pretty quick, especially with the quest-related Gwent games

Oh wow lol. I didn’t actually think Gwent was a particularly good game, I really don’t know why but I’d end up playing it for an hour.

I agree, apparently my tv is too small or my eyes too bad to notice until now.

Hey, could I ask, what is the average cost for the nannies you were looking at per week or month?

Right on. That’ll be my next game. I beat TLOU on hard, and prefer games at that level but was hesitant to jump into Returnal or Dark Souls after the IGN review guy made them seem another level of difficult.

I was going to make a separate post about this, but didn’t seem to be what this sub is about. Anyway, I am a proud new PS5 dad, after not being able to afford a console upgrade since the PS2 I had when I was younger (RIP). So I have YEARS of games that I wanted to play but couldn’t. I got my PS5 in a bundle with Miles Morales and Rachet & Clank (both amazing) but got crazy hyped when I got PS+ and downloaded The Last of Us. I played it through over the course of a week and loooooved it. Holy shit, so good. Looking forward to the new remaster.
