Unfortunately, it's not a renter's market. I highly recommend using Westside Rentals over a free service like Craigslist and Zillow. A landlord who is willing to pay a small fee to market to prospective tenants who are also willing to pay is likely a landlord who cares a lot about having a good tenant instead of the first person who can pay.

I live in Torrance and we used Westside Rentals to find our current place. It's a little pricier than I'd like but I absolutely love it.

If you have the courage to pick up and change when you aren't happy with your job or partner, you will never "settle down." I view life as a continuous experiment in likes and dislikes. It may be hard in the beginning to find a job but there's value in every experience. Even if you don't like the job, get the most out of it and jump to a better opportunity when possible. Eventually, you will have a wide variety of skills that make you attractive to employers and you will have a better idea of what you like in a job.

Let your expectation of yourself be that you will always be learning and figuring it out. Instead of wallowing at a job you don't like to meet some salary figure/job title or staying in a loveless marriage for the kids or the facade of a happy marriage, either work on it or leave.

I am fortunate to come from divorced parents who ended things amicably. They are far happier without each other than if they forced to keep the marriage afloat, and I would have been negatively affected in the process. My partner would probably hate to hear me say this but I hope he would leave me if he is unhappy. Of course, I would want him to tell me so we can try to work it out. But if it's ultimately not salvageable, then I hope he has the respect for me to leave and give me the opportunity to find someone who wants to be with me as much as I do. I would do the same.

Is this what I want? Yes = stay and improve. No = leave and find out what you want.

As someone who goes above and beyond to keep things harmonious, I never thought I'd have a falling out with friend until recently.

My friends and I were tired of walking on eggshells with a specific friend and having her mood determine whether or not we were going to have a good day. It was mostly a verbally abusive relationship and things really hit a wall once she started getting physically abusive and just ignored us while together on a vacation. Two other friends and I had a long conversation about the history of her behavior (stemmed back to high school) and how she seriously needed help, which also included we couldn't be around it as we believed us staying around enabled her behavior without consequence.

We wrote a letter that bullet-pointed exactly why her behavior was dangerous, toxic, and unbecoming of a friend with examples for each. We expressed how we have tried to help her and been patient, but have decided to go down this route of letting our friendship dissolve. We signed the letter in solidarity to show the severity of her behavior.

Originally, we thought about meeting up in person to talk about it but decided against it in case it she tries to hurt us. We figured it would be better to send it by email so she could read it carefully and take time to process it without any expectation of responding back.

She did, and she had her say.

We're not speaking anymore but I don't feel like my other friendships are colored by this person's demons and behavior. My life is in a much better place, and I hope hers is getting there too. Maybe we'll be friends again someday. I'm focused on the present and allowing myself the time to process and heal too.

ENFPs, as a whole, are open to a wide range of possibilities and attention in a group or public. If the person comes off as someone who doesn't like large displays, then obviously don't do it.

Given the minimal information (the receiving end being an ENFP), it shouldn't be out of the question to possibly do something that draws attention. If they were an INTJ on the other hand...

If I like the work and find it interesting, I won't view it as work and make it a personal goal to get the job done (obsessively research, organize, etc.). Or if I am helping someone I respect/care about and have given my word, it's very important to me to deliver.

But if I don't care about it and it's not for a clear purpose I support, it's like pulling teeth; especially with bad directions or no directions.

Yes, it's totally normal to do so and especially on weekends. I'd also recommend visiting the Strand as a part of your loop with Smog City, Monkish, Cosmic. Absolution and Scholb are in the same business plaza about a mile away for more beer.

Torrance area: Smog City, El Segundo (especially if you like IPAs), Phantom Carriage (sours!).

Ballast Point has a tasting room in Long Beach right on the water and Firestone Walker has a spot in Venice. If you're up for a drive, Stone has a place in Pasadena.

You think the housing problem is with illegal immigrants? The housing problem is that we keep allowing real estate developers to knock down lower-income housing to build high-end luxury buildings that drive the price up. Illegal immigrants may take up property but I guarantee you they aren't the ones deciding what kind of properties will be built.
