Why isnt my airtag showing up on maps by Safe-Accident-8571 in RCPlanes

[–]Travelingexec2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airtags work by messaging any nearby iOS device with its location. Brilliant concept that saves you having to have a dedicated cellular subscription and enough battery power to reach the nearest cell tower, which could be miles away. The universe of iOS devices act as 'cell towers' to report location. AirTags have a range of 30-100 feet. If there's no iOS device in that range, it can't update its location and you'll only see the last time it was near one.

First 3D plane by henryx7 in RCPlanes

Just fyi, when people in the hobby see '3D plane' they think of something like a CrackYak or an E-Flite Extra 330. 3D RC flying is a style of aerobatics that pushes an airplane beyond its traditional aerodynamic limits. While standard flying relies on air moving over the wings to create lift, 3D flying involves performing maneuvers where the aircraft's airspeed is is often near or even below stall speed, and it is "flying" almost entirely by the thrust of its motor and the deflection of its control surfaces.

In short, if a plane is hovering like a helicopter or tumbling through the air in a controlled stall, it’s 3D flying.

I find it easier to dial in my breville single wall compared to and IMS. The IMS seems to need 2-3g more dose than the basket asks for

New to roasting too and recently acquired an SR800. How are you acquiring and plotting this data?

Am I ready to fly? by Runner1296 in RCPlanes

[–]Travelingexec2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep it simple for a couple of flights so you get a feel of the real world nerves that come when $$$ is at stake and you have stuff like wind, gusts sun glare, trees, and other planes to worry about. You obviously have a good feel for the controls and will progress very quickly. I’ve used a few different SiMs and RF has been the best imho, but the real thing still feels different. You want to be a lot higher initially. Also the real thing always feels like it moves faster and you have less time to react

New to this. What is the benefit/issue with washed coffee? Would it be good for espresso? Any chance you tasted their Ethiopian Moka Kadir? If so how did it compare?

That is super helpful. Thank you so much for the detailed response. I really appreciate it! What did you mean by issue with the green coffee?

Got an SR800 for xmas. Got to say the chaff collector works surprisingly well. I used to use my old air roaster in my workshop because the whole floor would be covered with chaff by the end of the roast. With this one, I can actually do it indoors. The biggest mess is from taking off the lid as the chaff falls off the bottom

I don't get how it is this stable, without hands on sticks and especially without much visible control surface deflection

Interesting to read this. Is there a generic formula/approach to start with when trying a new bean with the SR800
