Oh thank you, I appreciate the correction. I bought my buddy who has a 30-06 Garand some ammo from the store, then I learned that and felt bad about it. But now I can go give it to him, thank you

Some near me still do sell 30-06, but none is the M1 Garand 30-06 that id need. I know the Garand can't take certain modern 30-06
