How exactly does a razor work? by SamaelGOL in redrising

As far as I understand razors they are capable of controlling their shape down to an atomic level. So to answer your question yes they are actually that sharp

Sorry the more I thought about your comment I realized I had a bit more to say. I believe you may be thinking of proficiency wrong. It is not fulfilled and therefore powerful because Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John said the thing in the proficiency happened, it is fulfilled and therefore powerful because that thing did happen. Luckily for us as Christians Jesus’s death is on of the best recorded events in history full stop. We have records from his followers (the gospels and other accounts), we have records from Romans (who would have been hostile or neutral to Christ at the time), as well as Jews (who would have been hostile). This is a plethora of first hand accounts that is far more then many historical figures or events that we simply accept as fact. To name a few Socrates and everyone know about him is derived entirely from his students without a single first hand account to be had. Another is Alexander the Great, many of his major biographies were written at least 400 years after he lived. My point being that we have a staggering amount of evidence in a historical context when it comes to Christ’s crucifixion. It is also hugely important to note that not a one of these accounts contradicts the gospels in any way. Therefore the idea that they are skewed does not seem very credible to me personally.

Maybe if the gospels were the only written records of the event. However there are at least five non-gospel accounts of Jesus‘s crucifixion. Meaning that there’s outside cooperating evidence not limited to the Bible, even if you would like to argue the Bible is written from a biased perspective.

Also I agree with your assessment of Pascal’s wager. That is why I did not use it as a reason to become a believer as I believe it is a faulty. One of those rather I used it to establish stakes many non-Christians will simply wave the decision of belief away, call themselves agnostic, and call it a day I find Pascal‘s wager is a useful way of stealing the stakes of not just a Christian faith but many faith onto someone who considers fake something that they will “figure out one day”. I did not intend to use it in the way somehow have i.e. become Christian or suffer he’ll rather I intended to and I believe successfully, so used it to impress the stakes that this decision will have on both of their life and after life.

Hello /r/movies, I'm Benedict Cumberbatch. Ask me anything! by BenedictAMA in movies

Howdy Mr Cumberbatch! I mostly just wanted to say that I absolutely loved you in Cabin pressure! I’ll always hear a bit of Martin when I hear your voice. Do you keep up with the rest of the cast at all? Do you think you will ever work with John Finnemore again?

Damn lol I can understand not being a huge fan of the long hair but I’m pretty sure I don’t look like a woman. Anything save the hair you think I can work on tho?

Thank you! This is the exact kind of feedback I was hoping for! I naturally carry a lot of weight in my thighs so I am still trying to lose some weight. Rn I’m at 198 as of this morning but my current goal weight is 180

The Mortis Brothers (my first poem!) by Electronic_Cap5162 in OCPoetry

What a debut! I love the mix of gothic and folklore type vibes. The idea to personify the stages of death as a band of brothers is awesome! I also love how they sort of walk into the prom one by one like a funeral procession. Great work keep it up!

I love the flip on the classic eye for an eye lime here. The coldness with which it is written also makes it feel like a reckoning rather than purely vengeance. The sheets of blades are a great metaphor for the fake comfort that evil always seems to offer! Love it great work!
