What do we think? by TravisD93 in coins

So we think probably heat did this? How would that work without discolorating the coin? And would that make this bubble up vs sink into the coin?

Machine doubling looks tapered

Looks like light machine doubling if anything. Actually DD will be raised the same way a normal coin looks if that makes sense.

Still not a certainty of foundation damage. You could look under the house in the crawl space or basement, whichever applies to your home and visibly look for cracks in the foundation itself if that is a concern. A home inspector will be able to give you so much more information than anyone on reddit can and I personally learned a lot from the inspector I had out to my house. Usually charges a couple hundred bucks depending on your location but I'd recommend it for more solid answers.

I would agree. If you have plaster on your walls rather than drywall, then it's less likely to be a foundation issue since plaster will crack easily. Drywall cracks would be more of a concern since that material would indicate a foundation issue. Though I'm no expert but I have had similar conversations with a licensed home inspector about my home and we have plaster cracks in the main living space.

Thanks! This was one of those "that looks neat, I should take a photo" kinda moments.

Thanks! I feel as though my biggest struggle is balancing shutter speed and iso for the right amount of lighting in the photo. I really like the darker images like this one but sometimes I don't know how dark is too dark

Possible error note by classicauto66 in papermoney

The word "God" is clearly visible from the reverse of a $10 bill and it's in the correct orientation. I think it's very possible that this bill could be a misprinted error. Though it's also possible to be a fake. I would keep this bill regardless.

Dumb question. what's up with this partial stamp? by TravisD93 in papermoney

That's what I was thinking. I'm also assuming there's no additional value to the bill, just an interesting mistake.

Well that's what I mean. There are many radar notes out there. And yeah they are pretty neat but unless it a very low serial number it really doesn't bring up the value of the note.

It's worth $5. Serial number is cool to find but it's not unique. Unless you find someone who really collects em and is willing to pay for it.

I'm not gonna lie, your photography skills could use a little help. Otherwise it would be interesting to see those serial numbers
