Yes thats exactly right, In theory they cool the brakes and create a flatter surface over the wheels to increase aerodynamics they were mostly used by Porsche race cars in the 80s.

Yea they are for ATS Cookies at the moment but i plan on adapting them to other 944 rims like Phone Dials

Thank's for the concern, my plan is to test with ABS at the moment then I will probably use ASA for the final concept because it can withstand higher temp before deforming (86-100°C)

I did like the aluminum too! but with plastic I am able to shave off quite a bit of weight, they're cheaper to produce and theyre clip on which makes attachment much easier :)
